Hmmm. Mr Blow who seems to have a personal relationship with chemical substances, knows a lot about inside Everett politics, has a grudge against the police dept, and he's just come back from somewhere where he did not have access to a computer. Hmmm. |

They do?! Everywhere you think. Must be somewhat limited access though. |

Everyone here is entitled to think whatever they wish of Dave Ravenesi. Some may have good reason to feel as they do. I happen to know Dave and do not believe he is "Joe Blow from Idaho". Dave, whatever his faults, has a certain level of class. I have never known him to speak in the gutter type manner of this "Joe" character. I have been reading the board for months now and only recently joined in when "Joe" attacked an honorable man, namely the Chief of Police. Dave Rav would not do any such thing. I believe after reading posts for months that anyone can see that "Citizen" and "Court" are two of the more reasoned and thought provoking members of this forum. "Joe" bashing these members without cause will go further in marginalizing anything he posts here going forward. I disagree with most of what "Joe" has said thus far but also think his type can liven it up at times. I only wish he would post his views in a more civil way. It's not always what you say, but sometimes how you say it. |

Thank you for the kind words, Middle-Man 1, and it's good to have you join in the discussion.
A few of us have tried to point out to "Joe" that his manner of discourse is the issue, not his opinions. He chooses to address those comments with more invective. Perhaps he'll listen to your reasoned approach; if not, perhaps as others have said, if we ignore him, he'll just go away.

I see where you're coming from. I don't want to see him go away. I think something can be gained from outspoken people voicing a strong position even if I disagree with their opinion. Some members will use the ignore it and it will go away approach. I'll just hope for a change in tactics by "Joe". He'll find reasonable people will be more recptive to listen if only the comments are kept a little more, shall we say, sanitary? |

I agree with you about Joe not being Rav. Not because Rav doesn't "speak in the gutter type manner", but because he's more inclined to work quietly, behind the scenes. He likes to whisper the falsehood then sit back and watch it grow like a fungus. He believes in mixing things up, then stepping back to let others run with the ball.
I'm not sure Joe is capable of acting like a civilized human being. If he can, then having him (or anyone else) express a differing opinion makes things interesting. However, right now, I'm not even reading his crap and will continue to ignore it until I see someone here indicate he's learned to control his foul language and disgusting manner. |

Cmon people you cant say I'm atleast at a minimum colorful with my delivery. Cmon give me that, I will say this I will be more coqnisent of how I express my view OK? I will cut down on the vulgarity. But I warn you I'm a passionette person once I get going its hard to stop, and I'm human so I'm not saying I will be perfect but as I said I will be more coqnisent.

Have you noticed, when everyone behaves like adults, this is a very pleasant site to visit and the discussions are interesting and enjoyable? However, when people act like children and won't give anyone the benefit of the doubt, it can be most unpleasant?
It would be wonderful if everyone learned to restrain themselves instead of saying things intended to escalate the problem and keep the controversy at the forefront. |

Benefit of the doubt LOL!!!!!!!!! I really am in shock that anyone would think I deserve the comments I have recieved. It is like the bully that everyone is afraid of, so they try to make friends with him even though they hate his guts. I am not like that.

Sally . . . where did anyone in this conversation say you deserved the treatment you've received from this guy. No one EVER said that. But the fact of the matter is, Joe Blow has made an effort with those who have been willing to make an effort with him. It's that simple. I don't ocndone the things he says to you, but I also don't think it's appropriate to intentionally antagonize anyone.
I can certainly respect your choice not to forgive the comments directed at you; however, at some point it's time to move on. |
