AFTER WATCHING THE ALDERMANS MEETING MONDAY NITE..
AS OF TODAY MY HOUSE IN ON THE MARKET ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
IN THIS CITY MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT THE MAYOR AND HIS FOLLOWERS ARE LOOKING TO HAVE NORWOOD STREET SHUT DOWN AND MAKE A WALK WAY FOR ALL THE BRAZILIANS THAT DO NOT LIVE IN THIS CITY THAT DO NOT PAY TAXES IN THIS CITY AND THAT DO NOT OBEY LAWS OF THIS CITY...

THIS CITY HAS GONE TO THE DOGS AND WHAT A SHAME IT IS..

Jane, I am probably right behind you. We are also concidering putting our home on the market. Everett is not what it used to be. I am sick of most of our city government. There is only a few up there that try to look out for the tax payers of Everett. The rest just do what ever the administration tells them to do. What a sad state our city is in. You are correct, "What a shame!"

Can someone clarify if it is true that Hanlon is thinking of shutting down Norwood Street? Aren't there some city officials who read these boards. I swear to god that will be the last straw for me and my family members if that is the truth. The illegal population should not get any help let alone from our own city government. I am so sick of the deluge of Brazillian flags I am thinking of buying stick on American flags in bulk and putting them over every Brazillian flag in this city. Enough is Enough!!

If Hanlon tries shutting down Norwood St. he is insane---can't picture anyone in their right mind trying that--if he does it they should send him to the Booby Hatch !

The week after Hanlon's Norwood St. photo opp, there was a published letter to the editor where he wrote that he would not shut down Norwood St. for any period of time fo pedestrian traffic only. Has he changed his mind?

Letting Bread and Co. open for 24 hours is a bad idea. Not because they are Brazilian but because it will start a bad precedent. If you let them do it how can you deny others on any street in the city?

Dunkin Donuts by the high school is already open 24 hours. The precedent has been set.

Thank goodness it is too. I have spent many late nights there, studying, grading papers, or the like. I have always been a night owl. I hope that doesn't make me a criminal deviant (since "Nothing good happens after 1AM")

Sorry, Jane, but it's the other way around. The store is open 24 hours; the drive through shuts down at 11:00 p.m.

I am assuming Citizen Kane is correct--otherwise Michael is doing all that work in his car.

Citizen Kane is correct. The D & D employees work hard. Additionally, I never really witnessed any incidents, just some evidence of drunkeness on occassion and once I was pretty sure someone shot up in the bathroom. They have to keep shutting that bathroom down because people have no repect for anyone else sometimes....
