Huh Massdee. I didn't even think of that. So now what do we do? Just sit back and wait... |

Don't parents have to provide proof of immunization for their kids to enter school? I would think this would be true of all children . . . because the fact of the matter is, we have to provide education to kids, regardless of where they come from or how their parents brought them here. Having said that . . . I thought that parents had to provide proof of immunization, like a doctor's note. Also, at one time, the schools provided vaccines to the kids. I don't know if they do that anymore, but it might be something worth looking into.

It isn't really even so much the schools, but think about it, every time we go into a public place we are leaving ourselves open for problems. If people come into the country legally it would be much easier to track what diseases could be on the rise. With the way things are now there is no telling what is being brought in. I am not against immigration, just illegal immigration. Our elected officials from city on up to the federal government are not doing all that could be done to protect us. Enforcement is a must. |

Yes Citizen. You have to provide the school with a up to date (within one year) physical form which includes a sheet with all of the child's immunizations listed. That is why I am baffled. However, they DON'T make the parents provide a Social Security number on some forms if they don't have one! If they don't have one they should GET OUT! How can we allow this? I thought we all had to have SS#'s. Isn't that part of proving citizenship? I realize these children are innocent but, we shouldn't suffer because of their parents ignorance. |

Lynda, you do not have to be a citizen to attend our schools. Every kid, born here or not, has the right to an education. It's the law. |

Yes I agree and that is fine. BUT they need not bring diseases and such into our children's schools. They need to prove to us that the children are well and immunized. Like I said before they are innocent children whom are products of their parents. The parents need to step up to the plate and place the proper values in these kids. |

If they are here illegally, what kind of message is that saying to the kids? If they had the proper values to begin with, they would of entered the country through the proper channels. Once they are here they are probably to scared to do the right thing, they fear deportation if they are caught.

True massdee, but, if my kids are in danger, I don't give a crap about anything else. I also agree that it is the parents to blame totally. |

Lynda, I agree with you, too. We have to protect our children. |
