Really, richie, what evidence do you have that Ragucci stole money for his own personal gain? If you have actual evidence and not rumor and innuendo, then by all means, share it with us.

I know that Jarret Barrios is running for Middlesex DA in 2006, the question i have is whether or not his senate seat is up for re-election in 06 or 07, and if it is 07 i am assuming there would be a special election to fill the vacant seat. i know Jarret first one the seat in 2003 and do not remember if he ran for re-election in 2005, probably because he ran un-opposed and there was not much buzz about it.

justthfcts . . . Barrios' seat is up next year -- '06. It's a two year seat; he was elected in '02 and re-elected in '04. He has to give up his Senate seat to run for DA, which leaves it open for others to take a shot at it. The rumor mill has Carlo DeMaria thinking about taking another run for the seat, as well as Anthony Galluccio out of Cambridge, and Alice Wolf, a state rep from Cambridge, is also putting feelers out for a run.

Barrios has been very helpfull to Everett. I am sorry to see him go. I do not believe he will have the support to achieve his goal of DA.
He has been a wonderful state senator.
I think he has been ill advised to run for DA.

Michael, are you speculating here, or are you trying to pass these predictions off as fact? Because you're wrong on at least one count on this one -- Gover would not run with Galluccio in the race. Ain't gonna happen.
DeMaria? Did he learn nothing four years ago? Does he really think he's rebuilt the bridges he burned back then?
Marchese? Please. The man could only pull 800 votes in the Mayor's race? He's going to run district wide?
Alice Wolf, state rep from Cambridge, has been putting out feelers
Van Campen had made some noise about running a while back. Has he changed his mind?

did everyone see the advocate tonite and open letter from ragucci's wife thanking him for a job well done and also she has her husband back and now they can move on. Wonder what that means. Nothing much in the paper all on sports like some people said would happen

I have also heard that David is going to run for Mayor again in 07, although i think the best seat for him to run for is the state rep seat if Ed Connolly steps down. If he were to decide to run for the State Senate seat i do think he would be the strongest candidate from Everett in that race, the problem is Cambridge and Somerville, i do not understand why this district is set up the way it is, and it always leans heavily in the candidates from Cambridge. it would be substantially beneficial for all of us to have that seat occupied by someone from Everett although noone from Everett has ever held that seat

You're talking about the Senate seat. You're right JTF's, the district is a little whacked. Not to mention we don't present terrifically strong candidates. Hanlon by no means received a mandate from the city. That bodes well for any contender next run.

David has a better chance running against Connelly that he does going against Cambridge and Somerville voters.
I'm sure this will be a problem for Steve, but he just won Alderman. So stay with that for a while.
