I just received my census form. The instructions are in eight different languages. What country do we live in?

This is NUTS! I got mine too. This should be interesting in what the latest numbers of residence show. They can't make it any easier for them to fill out. |

If they are not here legally they will not fill it out anyway. So, sending it out in all those languages is just a waste of time and money. |

What will happen next is that the amount of Everett residents will go down, due to the fact that so many have left, and our new residents will not fill out the form. Then our state and federal funding will get cut even more, but we just keep letting them come in. |

I say,no parking sticker for anyone that doesn't fill out and send in their form. Then again, no one is ticketing. |

Masterful1, good idea except you have to bring your registration up to Pity Hall and they don't have them! |

Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.
"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."
Theodore Roosevelt 1907

"I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law"
