There's a lot I don't understand about what the Mayor was saying last night? A draft report that the city can review and edit as necessary? What does that mean? In one breath Hanlon was saying that he had only read through half of it, in the next he was saying there was only one typo. That's the only thing that was changed.

I've never heard of anyone having the option of "editing" a report from a company they hired to perform a service. I mean . . . you perform the service, you prepare the report, you submit your findings. What's with the editing process?

I also don't understand this Executive Session thing? What are they going to do there? Discuss what will and what won't be released to the public?

The whole thing stinks.

Citizen, so true. Did you also happen to notice the mayor getting a little testy when the councilors were trying to make sure the public gets the entire report?

Having watched the new city website develop, I can tell ya that the site was primarily built by the City Clerk himself. He also built the E Club and the Chamber of Commerce sites.

A hidden talent, I guess.

I agree, what a difference!!

Shouldn't it become part of the public record? I know, we are talking about the city of Everett.

Yes, it most definitely should. But, it won't!

Well, my friends, here's a thought, radical though it may be -- if the entire, unedited report is not released to the public, or if we have any reason to believe that full disclosure has not been made as regards the audit, how about a class action lawsuit against the City, under the Freedom of Information Act, to release all records pertaining to the audit.

Just an idea . . . maybe the administration will surprise us, but this whole Executive Session thing is very suspicious.

Pretty good thought Citizen Kane, gotta give you that one.
Let's see what they actually share. I think he said it should be out by Friday, if I am not mistaken.

I thought he said he should hsave it in two weeks, but I could be wrong. That meeting was very tiring to watch and It didn't always keep my short attention span.

If I understood him correctly, he said he got the draft report last Friday, had started to review it yesterday, and would be ready to present it to city government, in executive session, in two weeks. I believe Lori Bruno had it referred to the Mayor's office to schedule a joint meeting of the City Council in two weeks, at which time they'll immediately go into Executive Session.

Citizen, that is how I understood it also. I believe that if Lori Bruno didn't push for the meeting, he would not be sharing that report with city government.

I just caught a little of the school committee meeting from last night. It's time for FFF's evaluation. I wonder if any of our, manly challenged, members would dare to mention that FFF was not found innocent and has to pay a fine and court costs. I'm sure he will get straight A's as usual. Hmmmm, maybe "A" isn't exactly what he thinks it means? Nah, those guys aren't smart enough to figure that out.

Hey, what's up with the Bon Saison? Sounds like it's a war zone in there. The fire department are under orders not to enter the building if a problem arises in there.
