| LOOK,,, WE THE TAXPAYERS PAID FOR THE AUDIT PERIOD. I'M THINKING THIS,, AND ASK FOR YOUR IMPUTE.. Let me try........ When Hanlon was City Clerk, there were fees charged that legally were his to keep. (I don't know which fees, Scoop mentions marriage license but there are a few) During an audit a few years back it came to light that the City Clerk was not properly recording & reporting this income on his taxes. So, if that came up in the forensic audit (aka witch hunt) how does he hide that information from the public. This is a potential MasterCard commercial. Try to nail the prior administration with an audit............... Get nailed yourself........... Priceless.
I think that's what he's talking about. |

I think you're right, justme; Hanlon was obligated to report whatever he was legally allowed to pocket in his monthly reports, I think, to the city auditors' office, and he wasn't doing that. That did come out as part of the audit done by DeNucci's office during the larger audit of the school department.
What I still don't understand . . . and Scoop, maybe you can shed some light on this . . . is how is it that a DRAFT report is submitted for the Mayor to review and REVISE? What is he revising . . . ?????? It doesn't make any sense -- if you hire an outside company to perform a service and submit a report, you don't get editing rights . . . and for the Mayor to say he found a typo -- when did he become a proofreader? Isn't it the responsibility of the company completing the report to make sure that it's complete and error free -- including free from typos????

| Can you honestly imagine some of them not talking if some really good dirt comes out at that executive session, no mater which administration it's about. It will get leaked somehow, and I figure if it was something bad about Ragucci, it would have already been leaked. |

Although he used the term draft, do you think what he has is a preliminary report? With the final, complete, report due in a couple of weeks? We know he's not always completely honest with the council and he doesn't have a firm grip on reality so maybe he thinks he's supposed to be "correcting" it.
