I was watching the Council meeting who wants to turn the Rec into a parking lot?
Miss a second miss a lot.

| I don't think any of them really want to turn the rec center into a parking lot. The last Alderman's meeting it was said, I think DiMaria, but he was just throwing out different possibilities for the uses of the buildings. I think it was just a statement off the top of his head and not anything that any real thought went it to. That was my take, anyway. The Council decided to jump all over it. Don't forget, DiMaria is going to run for Mayor, so it will probably become a political issue. If DiMaria would learn to think before he inserts his foot in his mouth he would be so much better off. |

| Yes, he did. That's what sparked the conversation about the rec center. The Aldermen were not happy with the Mayor letting the field house go, especially since it was promised to stay with the city after the new HS was built. Some were saying if they knew this would happen, their vote on the new HS might have been different. |
