I agree on the possibility of these possibly being insurance jobs. If these houses are as old as mine are, the wiring could easily be suspect, add to that the fact that people are overburdening their circuits with video games and computers, and possibly area heaters there is a higher possibility for electric fires as well. |

I heard that the fire on Corey Street started in an oil tank. Anyone else hear this?

I'VE BEEN CALLED ALOT WORSE BUT REAL STRANGE HOW DAV RAV GOT SO MUCH MENTION IN THE PAPER WHEN REMEMBER HE'S IN FLA WAITING FOR THE NEXT FUNDRAISER TO HAVE TO COME BACK TOO.. DO WE DIRECT DEPOSIT HIS WEEKLY CHECKS OR I GET IT ,,HE DONATES HIS FUNDS ,,, SCOOPIE |

another fire yesterday this one on dyer ave
now this is getting scary and has anyone seen the bags over the hydrants that are not in working order? one on corey st, one down the village and now one on main street
what's up with that |

It was also on channel 7 news this morning that there was a fire on Springvale Ave last night.
I haven't seen any bags over hydrants, but if we have hydrants not in working order, it seems it would be a priority to get them fixed. |

I just saw it on the channel 4 news they are saying it's arson. They have put an arson watch out for the area. The residents are in the hospital with burns and smoke inhalation. |

Last I heard about those bags was they are not out of service. They actually have a meter attached to them and to avoid having the meter stolen they cover them with those bags so people will not see the meter.

Are you saying they think Springvale Ave was torched? I heard the call on the scanner and it was pretty scary since there were people trapped. I hope it was not arson. God forbid someone is killed in one of these fires.
