Arson Eyed As Cause Of Everett House Fire (WBZ) EVERETTE Arson is believed to be the cause of an Everett house fire that sent two elderly people to the hospital on Saturday.
The blaze broke out at a home on Springdale Ave. The State Fire Marshal's Office said the fire started on the outside porch and then spread to the inside of the house.
The two elderly people taken out of the home were brought to the hospital to be treated for burns.
According to the Fire Marshal's Office, the fire is still under investigation.
The story was on FOX this morning with the daughter stating that it was arson and there is a $5K reward for information for the cowards that did this. Someone threw kerosene on the front porch and set the fire. The elderly couple climbed out of the 2nd story window to the roof of the front porch to be rescued.
What I'm starting to wonder is how many of these fires lately are related to arson . . . if it's possible we have a serial arsonist on the loose. I'm not normally an alarmist, but holy mother of God . . . I think we've had more fires in the past couple of months than we've had in the last ten years.
I know one thing for sure . . . I'm going to make sure my smoke detectors are in working order . . .
Okay, is anyone thinking the same thing I am? I am forseeing more fires in the future for profit by landlords that can't sell their property? Is the Fire marshall looking into these fires to see if it is arson? Does it have anything to do with illegal aliens and overcrowding?
Okay, folks, was I right or what? This is a scary situation to be in. I pray the firebug is caught as soon as possible, before someone is severely injured or worse.
2 house are on fire one of a retired everett police office also calling for crime tape this is scary in this city. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON I REMEMBER YEARS BACK OF SEVERAL FIRES IN EVERETT
I just heard they have an arson team in investigating the fire. They said it looks suspicious.
This situation is getting real scary. I live near one of the fire station runs, so I am used to hearing sirens but now every time they go by I stop and listen to hear where they are going. These fires have been different times of the day and different parts of the city. I truly hope they are not connected.
