| Hold on a minute people, I know Bill personally and Drugs never, ever was an issue. Please don't even start that sh#t. The man does have a medical condition and has been trying to get on with his life after all the smoke and mirror BULL that has been put out by this admin. Sorry for ranting, but it is hard when a friends' name comes up again, not in a good light. |

| Not to speak for Citizen, but I think he was trying to point out that the Advocate was talking about the editor of the Independent not Bill B. I didn't get to read the Advocate this week so I really can't comment on what it said. |

| That's right, massdee. The way I read the comment in the Advocate was Mitchell insinuating that Resnek had drug issues, so he shouldn't be throwing stones about anyone else's alleged wrongdoings. Mitchell was not insinuating in any way that Bowdridge had any involvement in drugs, nor is anyone out here saying anything like that. |

Here's the piece from the Advocate. It's poorly written, which isn't unusual, and a little disjointed, but . . . I still think the comment about drug involvement is a veiled reference to Resnek . . .
"The hypocrites from Revere with the 'Dependent' Wednesday rag - didn't mind destroying the former Rec Director Billy Bowdridge's reputation before he had a chance to defend himself with their sadistic portrayal of a lifelong resident and family, we was demonized in The 'Dependent' while they continue to protec their vested interests, the city's legal ads, and try to come to the rescue of Janice Vetrano, the mayor's number one advisor. Leave it to Josh Rat-nick. He doesn't mention that Bowdridge doesn't do drugs, never sold drugs or owned a barroom that was constantly under scrutiny for drug activity by the police. Rat-nick of course, has a short memory. But, others remember." |

| Speaking about our local newspapers, I wish they would post them online each week. Some of us are not able to get out and get them. I almost always get the Leader Herald delivered to my door and most weeks The Independent but I cannot always get out to get the Advocate. It would be nice if they would move into the twenty-first century. Just a thought. |

| Citizen, thank you for the info. I wasn't slighting you or anyone else on this blog. It is just frustrating to see a friend keep going through all this crap. I have to admit that it is strange when the CO Dependant stands up for Vetrano and not Bill, it gives the appearance that they are just in it for the ad $'s. |

Thanks, Lynda. That's why I wanted to post the whole of what was written in the Advocate.
And Masterful1 . . . I'm certainly the last one to defend the Independent, but the reality is, all three of our local newspapers are in it for the ad $$$. Mitchell is angry because he's no longer getting the legal ads, so he goes on the attack. Resnek is now getting more of the city ads than he has in the past, so he goes on the defensive. The Leader Herald is fond of the status quo -- they walk the fine line and they maintain their cut of the city's ad dollars. They have to depend on ad revenue because they don't charge for the papers.

Your "RIGHT", this is far from over. No one's life will be ruined over it, other city employees have
done wrong while on the job, they simply lost their job, paid restitution, and life went on for them.
As for all this other poop, that's what it is, "POOP" And most of us know exactly where it's coming from.
It's funny to read the postings from "ALL" "ONE" of "HIM". |

Now I can understand and see exactly why no one would pay to read any of those rags!!! They must have graduated magna cum laude from their Muckraking 101 class. Pity that there are no journalists with integrity working for any of these rags. |
