Patrick should really be staying out of the immigrant workers raid, let the Feds handle it. Everyone seems to forget, these people are here illegally. If these workers had come into the country the proper way they would not be finding them selves in the situation they are in right now. I hope these raids continue to happen across the country. Then, maybe, the illegals will think before entering the country illegally. I don't have a problem with legal immigration, but the key word here is "LEGAL." |

I have to agree with you all Patrick is the devil we don't know and he still thinks he is a lawyer. I on the other hand voted for the devil we did know but, she didn't make it. I feel like we are living in a time warp fast forward all illegals will be legal |

Let's not forget that there are two parties involved in this particular illegal immigration case. The people who are here illegally, certainly, are part of it, but let's not forget the business owner who brought them into his business knowing they were here illegally; in fact, one of the news stories said he specifically solicited illegals because he knew he could pay them lower wages to work like dogs and there'd be nothing they could do about it because of their illegal status . . . yet he's let out on bail and is not on a "business trip" to Puerto Rico.
Having said that, no, I'm not a big fan of the new governor. Seems like he hasn't been able to get out of the way of his own arrogance since he took his oath of office. |

Does anyone know who to call to report a business that employs illegal aliens. I have looked at the Department of Immigration website and searched for a local phone number. They must have an office in Boston or somewhere in this state. If anyone finds it could you post it please. Thanks. I don't know why it takes months to investigate a place. I thought all they have to do is go in and check for valid documentation. |

Citizen, you are so right. That business owner should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. All business owners who get caught employing illegals should be prosecuted. If the job market were to dry up for the illegals, then they wouldn't be so quick to sneak into the country. |

donice.....................
U.S. BORDER CONTROL Turn in employers who hire illegal aliens
Believe it or not, reports are starting to come in from all over the country that ICE is suddenly interested in learning about employers who hire illegal aliens.
We are hearing that citizens who report employers who knowingly are hiring illegal aliens, are getting a good response.
The new number to call to report employers who are knowingly hiring quantities of illegal aliens is (toll free): 1-866-DHS-2-ICE
Apparently, after years of ignoring our calls it appears that the agency is putting on a new face, perhaps, for the new Congress. Whether this new initiative will be long-term or short-lived is anybody's guess. But the time to make those calls is now.
How it works:
You are not required to provide your identity to ICE. All that is necessary to request an investigation by ICE is mere suspicion of employers hiring illegals. But any kind of documentation or eye witness to such activities only increases the odds that they will act. Both ICE and the IRS are especially interested in "visiting" those businesses that employ ILLEGALS "off the books" to avoid the payment of payroll taxes.
Small and large businesses are equally notorious in the hiring of ILLEGAL aliens to avoid paying fair wages to its workers and to criminally evade the collection and payment of payroll taxes. Whether the business hires one ILLEGAL alien or several hundred, ICE and IRS want to know about it.
We would appreciate it if you would let us know how helpful or unhelpful ICE has been in taking your information and following up on your complaint. And we will pass that information on to Congressmen who are monitoring their activities. |

I think the state is really in for it with our new governor. He's been in office, what, two months, and how many times has he had to apologize. My mother always said to us kids, "if you were sorry, you would not have done it in the first place." It was infuriating to hear it but now I understand what she meant. Patrick, Kennedy, Kerry and Dellahunt should stay out of it and let the Feds handle it. These people are "ILLEGALS," they created their own situation. I do not feel bad for them. I feel bad for us "LEGALS," we are losing our city, state and country. |

And again, the guy who owns that sweat shop who knowingly brought illegal immigrants in to work for him should be made to pay a price as well. This is a guy who had government contracts. Does anyone know the status of those contracts now? Last I heard, they were "up in the air." Why didn't he lose them right away? Is there any question that government contracts should not be granted to someone who is violating federal immigration laws?
For better or worse, Kennedy, Kerry & Delahunt are part of the federal government -- they are our representatives in Washington, and if they spent half as much time working to develop a sensible immigration policy -- because that policy isn't going to develop itself overnight -- as they do chasing every photo opportunity, we might be further along in stemming the flow of illegal immigrants and finding a sensible way to deal with the ones that are here.
End of rant. |

The worst part of all of this illegal immigration raid is that I bet there is going to be law suits taken out, and won, by these illegals for their pain and suffering. I hope I am wrong but something tells me I am not. |
