I get a personal letter from Senator Kerry supporting to help if I have further issues. Senator Kerry refers my letters to EPA Boston to a direct contact who responds to me via snail mail (so our letters are being read), the GAP aka Old Navy at the Gateway Mall responds to my letters, and IKEA Europe just found out about the BWSC plant but emails I get from my local area are about a 'Walk way over the Amelia Earhart Dam' even though some unnamed persons already knew about the EPA decision prior to that! Now you want me supporting a walkway at the BWSC out pour pipe sight? What about peoples health? How is the PUBLIC going to be protected from the pollution that plant will be toxicating into our air and river further congesting our cities? Maybe employees at MWRA and Winthrop citizens who are fine with the pollutants from Deer Island can walk over a smelly dead Dam. They are used to it. Ask Meg Tabasko at MWRA she is a great cheerleader for the plant on the MYSTIC River-maybe she would volunteer it into her back yard if it is so safe.
I vote we rename the DAM - Mayor Menino's Walk of Shame DAM- How could the family of Amelia Earhart even want to keep her name connected to that dam after this? Pathogens from that plant plus the dead wild life and marine life- I have even seen a live jelly fish in that inlet bay at the Amelia Earhart Dam-that Dam that Patrick Johnston told me back in January 2007 in a meeting at Panera's that 'No work was being done on the dam and the dam was fine' when I asked him what all the work being done at the dam was about which a politician did give me the details of the work being done at the Amelia Earhart Dam-How did you not know this Patrick?
I said it in a letter to the Editor way back in January 2007 that Everett citizens must hold the City Official lawmakers, our local politicians, accountable to create laws protecting the River and Harborway but now Alderman Carlo DeMaria is fighting that as it said in the Everett Independent. Environmental laws should have been in place yesterday so we can go after BWSC- who owns the boundaries of the water? BWSC is putting in an out pour pipe connection
into that inlet bay-do you understand the pollution that will be out poured there?
Then there is the 'Fight the Sludge Plant' group, where? Where is the buzz in this city? The Veil of Silence the Veil of Lies. Oh and by the way it was my phone call on a Saturday that provoked the BWSC to fix the North bound sink hole it created on Alford St. but for their new South Bound sink hole they created in front of the car wash-YOU use your dime...
I don't know what Mayor Menino is promising this city, was he at the Mayoral conference Mayor Hanlon, that there will be no fight? Because Everett can't afford it? Everett can afford new salaried Administration, new City Officials, new police cars, we are in the midst of a $40 million Super Fund...We live in a fascinating Industrial City, this City of Everett.

Massachusetts functions off our back-but we can't afford a fight?

We can't afford to lose this fight for that beautiful DAM river! The MYSTIC River...WHO ARE STEWARDING TO KEEP HER SAFE?
