| It's all about the audit . . . pages and pages of it. I haven't read it all the way through yet, but it's as different from the account in the Independent as a story could be! As you could well imagine it would be, I guess! It's also closer to reality, certainly, than the Independent was, but full of the drama we've come to know and love/hate from Mitchell! |

| Massdee, hope you are enjoying the new baby..Hey Lou, are you saying the Eagle didn't use the audit for political gain? Yes, he did use that as a point for getting elected, you are right about that. Wait a minute, isn't he the same person that said no new hires? Didn't he use that as part of his platform also? Right, he really stuck to his guns on that point. What I read about the audit was not missing money, it was about paperwork missing. Am I wrong? The 5 mil was what the city paid those companies for a certain time period. |

| CCLou, please don't offend our sensibilities with this spin. All I want you to do is explain how it is that the auditor who was in the office during part of the audit period is remains a paid consultant. You should also explain how a city-wide fraud audit turned into a 16 vendor audit, handpicked by Janice Vetrano. |

Masterful1, thanks, the new baby lives out of state and I was only able to see her when she made her untimely arrival. I do get daily updates and pictures of her progress.
back to topic,
If people watched those two Joint Conventions, I cannot understand why they don't feel deceived and cheated. We were all lied to, time and again, leading up to the audit, (to get city council to approve it) and during the staged presentation up to the last Joint Convention. Of course this was a Political event and it backfired on the Administration. They did not give the City Council enough credit, they didn't believe they would "all" be questioning the findings. Even the Mayors " go to people" didn't let this one slide. |

| CCLou, did you even read the audit, check the numbers, they don't add up to 1 million, and that's not stolen or missing, it's the paperwork that is missing (for now anyway) Don't be so sure it was the Ragucci administration that's responsible either, it's obviously a political ploy and the Hanlon administration with his budget director are not above seeing that paperwork turns up missing. She is one of the most vendictive people I have ever met. She has lied to the Council, the people and even the Mayor. Maybe she should be the one being checked and suspended, believe me she won't come out of this smelling like a rose. |

Did you ever notice that after 12 on Friday the activity on this blog slows way down, anyone have any ideas why that might happen?
