| The bit about the hard drives at the Rec Center was in the Advocate in the Sound of Everett column. It did say they had heard that the hard drives were removed and thrown into the toilet. I still don't understand how this was managed during regular business hours, with people milling around they way they do down there. |

| That explains why I didn't read it. I didn't get a copy of last weeks Advocate. I was away for the weekend and forgot about it yesterday. Maybe I will try to see if there are any around today. |

They acted like it was so hard to do. I saw a tech from Dell remove my hard drive in less that a minute. Does the rec have burglar alarms? Could they have broken in at night.

The computer was quietly and carefully removed from the office and off to the men's bathroom stall where it was dismantled and the hard drive was removed.
Your funny with a full gym????? |

| Fancy, I just assumed, which I shouldn't, that the computers would have been checked first time around. Shame on them for not doing it then. |

It could easily be done there. People are busy in the gym and there are always people in the hall area.

I am confused and none of these people around wondered why someone was walking into the bathroom with a computer? In the hall area which if I remember right is right outside the boys bathroom. |

| I have no idea what they did and did not do as far as the computers go. I don't use the rec, so all my info is second hand. All I know, if they were doing an investigation, I would think the computers should have been checked. It would be one of the first places I would go and I am certainly no expert in this field, it's just common sense. Then again, we are talking about Everett here, and most of our officials are a little short on common sense. So, like everything else lately, we will just have to wait and see if anything ever comes out. |

| I haven't been in there in years. The only hall I remember from back then is after you first enter the building. Of course, it could have changed over the years. |

| There's no other hall. When you come into the Rec Center, you walk into the front area, where there are a couple of table; the office is there to the left of the entrance to the court area, and if I remember correctly, the bathrooms are over to the right hand side. In between is a big open doorway You mean to tell me that there were people inside the rec who didn't see someone carrying a computer CPU from that office, past that big door, into the bathroom? |

| I just started going there this past year and that would be the only hall that I ever saw there. That is were everyone that is not playing on the court congregates so again I ask how would one walk by carrying a computer and not be noticed? |

| Actually CK that would be the girls bathroom on your right when coming through the door. The boys/mens room would be on the left position directly in front of those tables you spoke of. So basically one would have to move for the computer bandit to get by. hum interesting. |
