I hope something will be done, this man should no longer be in charge of our schools. The kids deserve someone who they can look up to, not a criminal. |

Nothing will be done unless we all write and call the elected officials in this city and show our disgust!!!!

With all the different people this was sent to I can't believe nothing has been publicized about it unless it is a rehash of stuff already covered by the Court.
Why hasn't Smith or McGonagle raised this issue if it legit--they have both been enemies of the Superintendent for a while.
Kind of mind boggling to me ! |

Do you think if someone sent a copy of this letter to Councilor McKinnon he would have it read at the CC meeting? Maybe not, this letter is signed. |

As I stated before, the Board of Aldermen and the Council should have a rule prohibiting the public reading of UNSIGNED letters.
Until they have such a rule there is the possibility of this incident happening again.

It's a sad state we find ourselves in. Has anyone here actually read the audit? Pay close attention to how this document is written. Did anyone notice that there's no signature from an individual at Melanson & Heath? I mean . . . who at that agency actually conducted the audit and was responsible for compiling its contents? The signature pages shows that someone wrote the company name where someone's signature should be. Who is vouching for the quality of this work?
And there's more, but . . . frankly thinking about it is maddening, and it's too late in the evening for me to blather on as I usually do ;-). |

You're looking for trouble where there isn't any Citizen. It's highly unlikely that there's anything unusual about the signature page. If there was anything questionable about the validity of the audit, it would have been uncovered shortly after Monday's joint convention.
I believe representatives from Melanson & Heath will be present next week to take questions @ the meeting. I can't wait to see who has legitimate (well thought out) questions and who uses the opportunity for self promotion! |

I disagree, justme. A document of this size and importance should have a signature. This isn't some insurance form letter being sent out to remind you that your premium is coming due. People's livlihoods have been ruined and their reputations brought into question. But, yes there is supposed to be a representative of Melanson at the meeting on Monday. Hopefully our elected officials will ask many questions. |

By the way . . . it isn't just the lack of signature that is troubling to me. In reading through how this document is worded, there are many holes that need to be filled. Another piece that sticks out in my mind is a photo copy of a filing folder tap, on which is typewritten the information for the contents, and down in the right hand corner someone has written "no bid." How do we know who wrote that? Anyone could take a felt tip marker and write that in.
I could be wrong about all of this, and maybe what the Mayor is claiming is legitimate, but given his track record for telling the truth, I'm a little more than skeptical. I simply do not trust these people. |

I understand that your concerns Citizen and I may have jumped the gun. If Melanson & Heath wasn't going to stand behind it, wouldn't there be a disclaimer of some sort?
Although this audit indicates problems, I have no faith in the people responsible for providing the information. We have no way of knowing if there was any paperwork destroyed or removed from files. It's a shame that I'm thinking that way, but there have been so many lies and misleading statements I just can't help it. |

Nothing in the Leader Herald about Freddy, either. So far, two for two. |

I am amazed to hear there is no signature on this document, which also makes me ask the question is this a truly legal document where so many lives are being affected by this document. |

The audit appears to have been signed by the clerk who typed the cover letter. It was handwritten as the companies name.
That should have been signed by the lead auditor who conducted the investigation and indicated the auditor's title as well..
It was not.
The document does not appear valid and legal.

I can see the law suits mounting. Hanlon should not have fired and suspended people until all the facts are in. Just another mistake in his very long list of mistakes. |
