The members of the Council can vote to open up any meeting for public comment, but it's doubtful that they will do this Monday night. From what I understand, this meeting is going to have plenty of sparks flying, so it's going to be difficult for them to keep it under control as it is.
I'm certainly hoping to be there! Hope to see a big crowd that wasn't hand selected the Hanlon/Foresteire PR team.
I am also trying to get there and am asking my friends to go, too. That meeting should be mobbed with all the "Average Everett Citizens." I'm not attending to support one side or the other, I want to be there so I can hear first hand what they are all going to do about the audit and I hope FFF comes up somehow.
It's been sixteen months they have been trying to hand Ragu and they haven't been able to accomplish a thing. Ragu has moved on and so should the Hanlon administration. Wouldn't it be unique if they thought about moving Everett forward for a change. And the little mans'day is coming soon.
One can only hope that the majority on the School Committee will change with the upcoming election and something could be done about the "little man" down on Vine Street. I would like to see many new names running for School Committee.
