From the Mirror

"I heard there was an altercation at the ward 5 meeting. I have not heard more than that. I am not suprised people are being pushed to the limits in this city."

I watched the Ward 5 meeting last night. I know the lady asking all the questions was irritating the Mayor. I thought those meetings were designed for the residents to ask questions. That was the second time I have seen Mayor Hanlon blow up at someone asking questions at one of these meetings, the other time was either Ward 2 or 3, and it has always been aimed at women. Does he think this type of behavior is helping his image? I think "NOT." It has made me wonder just how stable he is.

Oh, massdee, my friend -- you're just starting to wonder how stable the mayor is? :-) He definitely has some anger management issues; look at the way he reacted to Councilwoman DiFloria when she asked him about any written communication coming from the US Attorney's office. The Mayor doesn't like to be questioned, and he certainly doesn't like to be caught up in his own web of lies.

Actually, Citizen, I have been questioning his stability for a while now, watching that tape last night only add fuel to my fire about his state of mind. In the past, I have wondered out loud to family members if he had dementure or something along those lines. He has shown his temper quite a few times now and like I said before it is usually against women.

I agree . . . I really do believe the butter has slipped off the noodle, so to speak. Part of the problem is that for years, as City Clerk, no one questioned his judgment, and he never adjusted his thinking to realize that he's not the friendly, affable City Clerk anymore. The sad thing is, I've heard from officials in other cities who have had to deal with him who can't believe he ever made it into the Mayor's office.

Sad for the city.

Citizen, are you going to the Joint Convention tonight? I had my schedule cleared to go and then it changed last night, I'm hoping to clear it again, I really want to attend.

Hanlon turned colors at that meeting. And yes the meetings are supposed to be for asking questions, but I guess they should be pre screened @@
I do not care what ward you live in the questions that woman asked pertained to the entire city.

I'm definitely hoping to be there tonight, massdee, but as you say, schedules when you're managing a family are moment to moment!

Hopefully it'll be a good turn out, with people other than those hand picked by the Hanlon administration.
