Hanlon needs override: City council opposed
EVERETT - Despite what the mayor’s “newspaper” says, the members of the city council ARE NOT “requesting” a Prop. 2 ½ override. That’s an out-and-out lie!
The truth of the matter is that it is Mayor Hanlon who has raised the possibility of an override by his politically stubborn refusal to submit a BALANCED budget to the city council. The mayor’s budget is a whopping $2.5-million OVER the Prop. 2 ½ ceiling! The city council had nothing to do with that – it is the MAYOR’S proposed budget. It is the MAYOR’S budget that violates state law. And at no time has the city council said it wants a Prop. 2 ½ override.
That allegation, printed in this week’s Independent, is a blatant lie! But that’s the “quality” of so-called journalism that the rag from “out-of-town” is known for.
They see “their mayor” in trouble and they’re worried, and they’ll do whatever it takes, even lying, to get him another term.
Hanlon administration is just one big hackarama!
Red Doyle at $700-a-week as the city’s full-time so-called archivist – is really a $700 a week chauffer for Hanlon and his spouse. After his chauffeuring, he’s usually seen around city hall sitting on a desk. Why doesn’t the city council see what others see while they’re driving around the city?
Why doesn’t the city council call Doyle and his do-nothing political hack counterpart David Ravanesi and ask them what they do for the $700 a week salaries they’re paid. Ravanesi is paid $35,000 a year as asst. budget director for 100 hours (33 weeks out of the year) – the rest of the year he retreats to Florida.
Look at it this way, thirty-three weeks a year in Everett during the summer and then from November to May he’s in Florida at his condo playing golf.
Besides Ravanesi’s part-time $35,000 a year – he collects a hefty $40,000 a year pension from the city. It’s no wonder Hanlon needs more and more dough from the taxpayers.
And by the way, Red Doyle’s car has been spotted many times in his driveway. Red must be “on-call” – the same way Ravanesi is. What fakers! What a mayor! Obscene isn’t it! |

CCLOU, it's a known fact that Redneck sells his integrity piece by piece, with every edition of the co-dependent. A real newspaper would actually engage in something resembling investigative journalism, instead of the armchair cheerleading that it actively indulges in. The cost? Whatever Walking Eagle shells out in ad money. Somehow, it's not so different than the Advocate.
Apart from that CCLOU, the faux jobs of Ravs and Mr. Doyle are an open secret. What, did you really think no one knew? |

| I knew about Rav but didn't about Doyle. Thought it was interesting and thought I would share. Didn't know that CCLou would get his shorts all bunched up over it. It was in the paper for all to read. |

Well...the whole page has been wiped clean. It would appear that Walking Eagle couldn't take a joke. Although, given how incompetent his administration is...it would appear that he expects us to take a joke.
