Well, I finally got my copy of the CoDependent. I wasn't surprised to see Josh singing a new tune on the taxcut. Armchair journalism at it's finest, watch Josh write an editorial about taxcut policy without any analysis or review. Watch the CoDependent write about issues without checking the facts any further than Vine Street. Well, if Fred wants a Homecoming parade and no taxcut is going to get in the way!
Where the he** was Augustine Parziale, our resident conservative who writes so eloquently about the Democrats, who should never have met a tax cut he didn't love? He should have been way out in front on this taxcut, but instead, he was MIA. Perhaps he was partying with Barbara Andersen of the CLT?
Just remember folks; the Grinches that stole Christmas are the Board of Aldermen.

| Augustine was writing a beautiful front page piece on Marcus. It was a stirring tribute to a model alderman. It brought a tear to my eye. |

It's amazing to me that people actually vote this idiot Marcus back into office.
As I've said before, "says a lot about the voters, doesn't it?"

| Lisa, Emile - if I had a dollar for everytime Jason asked me if I liked him....I would be very wealthy now. We're talking the social skills of a five year old. |

Jason was the tie breaker tonight.
No balls....wimp....jerk off, and a few other things that get censored on this site.
And McGonagle tossed Mazzie to the wolves. For no reason.
Unless...
He must already have a personal agenda with Hanlon.
He voted with his pal Marchese.
Very, very dissappointed with him.

| Well, I hope that Kathleen McCormack runs Jason's sorry ass right into the ground next time. What a disgrace. Hanlon and the boyz won't be able to save him. |

| yes Jason was the tie breaker but you have to understand that the alderman are doing what Hanlon whats them to do. I can understand the frustration out here with the chief but, it should be up to the new administration to pick a new one. and I think someone posted out here about the fire chief The fire chief cannot be touch. |

Lisa,
This is the problem with taking the chief's position out of civil service - it introduces politics into the mix. No one out here is naive enough to think that this is about the new mayor picking the next chief. This is about Michael Marchese finally getting revenge for the drug bust at his bar and Hanlon is helping him do it. This is politics, and this is revenge. |

| And Hanlon and Marchese were aided and abetted by the Board of Aldermen. |

Why? How about because Hanlon ran on the premise that he was a man of honesty and integrity? How about because there was so much talk about how Hanlon was a man would would always "do the right thing"? How about because it's about time that certain members of the Board of Aldermen found a collective set of balls among themselves and started representing the people and not their own self interests?
It's too bad that Hanlon's supporters are quickly going to find out just how co-opted their hero is. You're right about one thing, Lisa -- people are going to find out that Hanlon is no different from any other politician who sells out to get what he wants. |
