I heard Marchese saying that the city needs an audit before giving taxpayers a break..He claims that Jonnie Mac left 10 mil for Ragu and now, Ragu is trying to empty the coffers to make it harder for Hanlon.I thought there was only a few thousand left when Ragu took over. By the time the audit is done, there will not be a tax break, period. I guess he is sticking to his agenda, whatever that is...
Color me sad and disappointed at the state of affairs in Everett..

Well . . . Marchese is the one, after all, who said he doesn't understand school finances. McCarthy barely left enough money for a cup of coffee.
There's a Finance Committee meeting tomorrow night . . . should be interesting. |

There should be public records available at city hall to show exactly what amount of money was available then and now. This shouldn't be a mystery. All records are public.

Marchese has never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Johnny Mac left Ragu 10 mil? Please. That isn't what Marchese was selling when he was with Ragucci. Marchese's agenda is simple; He is in this for Marchese and all the contracts his family gets from the city.

Well, you better tell John Hanlon that you want a tax break. According to the Leader Herald today, he argued against putting the money towards the tax levy, in case he "needs" it at a future date.

Blame game on taxes.
Hope everyone who voted for John Hanlon enjoys the Johnny Mac, Marcheesie, Freddie and Dowd presidency.
John Hanlon will not really exist as Mayor.
He is a puppet on a string.

Mr. Hanlon will be a figurehead, and the above mentioned will be running the place. John has abdicated the throne before he even takes the seat. Scary, isn't it?

Very scary......
I've been told that when John Hanlon tells a story, that he rambles from subject to subject.
How can he be an effective leader when he can't focus on an issue?
As I said "a puppet on a string".

John can talk-look for a handing over of the reins within a year. look to the appointed alderman president. If it isn't van camp this year, hanlon will wait until the next year to relinquish it.

I always felt that would be the strategy. I expect Hanlon to appoint a city manager (Johnny Mac) and then abdicate or whatever it would be called. Then the power would shift to our former old two-time loser mayor.
I also agree with your assessment of the scenario with RVC.
I will state that although Mr. Hanlon appears to be a very nice guy, his campaign ads were vicious. Even if he didn't write them, he did approve them.
He does not have the fortitude to make the tough decisions as mayor.
Time will tell.

I am disgusted with the Board of Aldermen tonight.
And so is the pup. He is running all over with his HH....
