Not sure why you people think short timer is off base I have heard the same rumors and it did not come from Mcgonale camp.

Remember all rumors are based on some type of fact. Lastly I do not care who you elect that person is going to be only as good as the people he surrounds himself with.

Sorry Been Here to Long BUT all rumors are NOT based on some type of fact. I could, not even knowing you, say something about you that is just plain untrue and it could/would stick to you for the rest of your life like glue. Sad but True. I believe NOTHING of what I hear.

Lynda I agree with you to a point but we are talking about a campagain and a plan we are not talking about an individual. I would bet someone heard something and each time it is told something is added thus rumor based on a fact. So I guess this is where we respectfully disagree. I know both Carlo and Joe and I think either would do a better job then what has been done by this administration.

A few days ago someone on The Mirror suggested to listen to both Carlo and Joe's videos and take notes while doing so. When finished compare the content of both. I tried it and I think it is a pretty good idea.

All these rumors could make a person crazy. Now I hear Janice Vatrano is heading Carlo's campaign. Hope she does as well with him as she did with the Mayor. She needs serious help. What a waste of money she has been to this city. I know some people who work in City Hall and say she spends all her time just stirring up trouble. Poor Mayor never even saw what was happening.

"He has promised all the Ragucci regime their jobs back..." "Please… You start rumors and lies with no facts"

I've seen this claim posted for months on the other board; I don't know if it is true or false. Again, no one has ever provided facts to back it up. In this case, I admit that it would be hard or impossible to gather facts that would prove it one way or another. But it is a valid issue (at least to me), so let's try to discuss it by applying some logic to it.

I think it is reasonable to assume that at least some of the people from the Ragucci administration would be invited back to work for McGonagle but I can't see all of them coming back. For example, I don't see Skip Coppola coming back to the auditor's position. He has probably moved on to something else and since most of McGonangle's supporters seem to be fans of Mr. DeCoste, it would seem to be a huge mistake to replace him. I also don't see Joanne Gregory getting the treasurer's position again. I don't believe that Ragucci ever officially appointed her the treasurer and having her in that position probably contributed to his downfall. I don't believe that she would be running as hard as she is for the alderperson(?)-at-large position if she believed there was a chance that she'd get the treasurer's job back. Don't have a clue who would be in line for that job. There are some that would seem to be obvious (Borgonzi, Jordan); the question there is do we feel that they are better or worse than what we have now or whoever DeMaria might appoint to these positions?

Beyond that, I'll admit that I haven't got a clue. I know the positions that I feel are important but I'm not an insider. I don't know all the players; I only know the ones that have showed up on the ECTV on a regular basis in the past. But what I do know is that they would working for Joe McGonagle and not Dave Ragucci. I find it hard to believe that anyone working for Ragucci was doing anything that wasn't either approved by or directed by him. Whoever the next mayor is should know that he and his staff will have to deliver starting from day one or they will likely seeking other employment in two years.

At least Ragucci had some very respected, qualified people working for him - the Budget Dir., Comm. Dev. Dir., Rec. Directors, Parking Clerk, his own staff. I agree about the Treasurer's Office - Gregory wasn't the right fit that's why she was always getting temporary appts. (far as I know). I don't think McGonagle has promised anyone anything.

I did hear Carlo is giving out jobs - in particular to Hanlon's Finance Team - he was seen up City Hall and the information from the meeting quickly leaked out. Vetrano has been promised a job, along with Ravanesi and Sheehan. Why would Carlo associate himself with Vetrano and Ravanesi?

Already, he's taking poor advice.

Taylor, you really sound ridiculous. You accuse others of spreading lies and rumor with no proof, and then you make the statement that McGonagle is going to give all the Ragucci supporters their jobs back -- and yet YOU provide no proof. With all the other nonsense you spew out here, are we just supposed to take your word for it?

And answer me this, Taylor -- Janice doesn't live in Everett; if she's only "supporting" Carlo, what could possibly be her motivation unless she's hoping to keep her job. Why is Jerry Sheehan's mother holding a sign for Carlo if not with the hopes that her son will keep HIS job?

Mrs. Sheehan is holding a sign for Carlo because Carlo made a deal with Sheehen that he'll keep him - why else would she be holding a sign - she's one of the Hanlon supporters that has moved to Carlo's campaign and been promised a job.

If my mother had to hold a sign in order for me to get a job- I'd be in tough shape - I'd rather get work on my own

Next you'll see Ravanesi's mother, Tina Garniss, Anthony Ranieri - the crowd will get very interesting.

I think it's worth noting just how "close" Taylor is to Janice to know so much about her motivations...and is offended that anyone would think her "waste of money." "Twin" sister or clone?

Good call, Citizen and Tetris and whatashame. On the money! Literally!

Did you see McGonagle/Carlos voting record on Joe's website?

It's clear to me, Carlo is a clone to Hanlon - he's voted the same for the past 2 years and is promising the people that put us in this very mess the same jobs -

like Joe's add said, What's the difference between Carlo and Hanlon?

#1 whatashame—YOU ARE A LIAR STOP MAKING UP STORIES FOR JOE BECAUSE JOE HAS NO PRIDE.

Any former Hanlon supporter holding signs for Carlo has nothing to do with jobs it's about not going back to the days of corruption. Carlo is hiring his own qualified people he's NOT rehiring anyone and has made that perfectly clear. If he was holding a sign for McGonagle it would not even be an issue! Mr. Hanlon took a lot of flack and worked day and night to get the crooks out and he did. It's too bad he couldn’t finish the job but the crooks found the sucker McGonagle to buy their crap and with the help from the lies printed in the fish rap advocate aka Joe’s tenant!
All they want is to finish off their two years for their pensions and they could care less about YOU. They were slackers/extremley rude ( Carole Ragucci-known fact McGonagle is rehiring) that let city hall become what it is.
