Taylor . . . now you're just sad. Or naive. Either way . . . please stop. "Not about jobs." That's the funniest thing I've heard this week. How long have you been following politics in this city? Or, for that matter, in this country?
Politics, at the end of the day, is a game of "what have you done for me lately?" |

Taylor,
Which "crooks" are we talking about? Where is the list of indictments, let alone convictions? Never let the facts get in the way of a "good" post. And how about answering some of the question that get posed to you rather than just trying to spin the debate of in another direction? |

Taylor - you sound like my last post hit close to home. You must be from the Hanlon camp who was offered a job by Carlo. If the only job Joe's promised is to Carol - then she'll get city hall back on track again. He apparently didn't promise a job to Mrs. Sheehan because she's not holding a sign for him. |

Mrs. Sheehan never had a job. Her husband and daughter did.

The Mrs. Sheehan to whom I am referring is Jerry Sheehan's mother, not his wife. His mother was holding a DeMaria sign in Everett Square yesterday. |

It appears Ravanesi didn't vote in the Primary - is that because he's a registered voter in FLA? How can Hanlon hire an Assistant to the Mayor that doesn't even vote in Everett AND how can DeMaria make a deal to keep him on board??? What's wrong with this city? When's the nonsense going to stop? |

BOSTON GLOBE ARTICLE
...Then came Thursday's news of the $11.6 million in free cash.
Board of Aldermen president Joseph McGonagle, an outspoken Hanlon critic and now a candidate for mayor, said in a phone interview Thursday morning that he had not been notified by the mayor's office of the higher-than-expected figure.
"It's great news for the taxpayers," said McGonagle, who added that he would be in favor of applying some of it to lowering taxes.
McGonagle's competition for the corner office, Alderman at Large Carlo DeMaria, said he, too, had not been told by the mayor's office of the $11.6 million. DeMaria said Hanlon, who lost his bid for a second term in office in September's primary, has thrown his support to him. |

Evidently, Mayor Hanlon has rethought his initial quote in the Globe. The only thing that's consistent with the mayor is inconsistency. |

Now we understand why Carlo promised Vetrano, Pedulla, Sheehan, Garniss and Ranieri, among a few others jobs, if they back him.
Word is Hanlon wants to go in Community Development. He's done nothing in two years developing the city - imagine what he'd do in four? |

Carlo will promise anyone any thing to get elected but if he does get elected will he keep his word? I understand that Carlo's word is not very good....he had promised Ragucci his support if Ragucci supported him for Senator against Barrios. Ragucci DID support him but when the time came to support Ragucci he backed Hanlon. Carlo is NOT a man of his word...so those of you he promised jobs to should get it in writing!!!!! |

Carlo has made no promises. He has already said he is hiring all new people. Your lies are going no where. Worry about McGonagle who has jail birds for tenants doing all his dirty work. What’s in it for Jim Mitchell if he gets elected? He should go back to Chelsea where he put that city into receivership and McGonagle will follow his lead. |

Taylor,
A number of us get on you because you post things that can't be backed up with facts. I wish other people would take that advice as well. I think that it's fine if anyone posts their opinions or things that they heard as long as they label them as such.
Let me ask you a question. Do you think that it is wise for Carlo to totally clean house at City Hall? Do people like Mr. Kelly or Mr. Norton really need to be replaced? They've served under at least the last two administrations, seem to be apolitical and appear to be doing a good job. I can understand Carlo wanting to replace everyone in key positions and those that aren't doing a good job but, is it wise to change everything just for change sake? |

Has anyone actually heard Carlo say "I'm keeping <fill in your favorite hack>?" Has anyone actually heard Carlo say "I'm getting rid of everyone?"
Tetris...I agree, opinions should be labeled as opinions. |
