Hello everyone,

In a sudden turn of events, I have come upon an opportunity to get into a single family at a very good price. Unfortunately, it is outside of Everett. I will continue to work in Boston, but will no longer be an Everett citizen. For the time being, I see no reason to stop supporting the site, however. I am open to comment. Feel free to email me or leave a private message. I should be much more available now that my teaching commitments are over until September.

Michael

By the way, it is not 100% for sure (no signed P & S at the moment... waiting on the seller) and there is one small kink to work out yet. Therefore, I will continue to stay at my present address for at least another month.. longer if the deal falls through...

Michael, if you don't mind, I would like you to keep the site going. Hope everything works out for you they way you want it to.

Michael,

Good luck on the home purchase. It's a big step and a bit intimidating, but much better than getting nothing for your money bu rent receipts!

If you decided to leave the city and give up the site, could someone take it over? How difficult is it? Can you give us an idea of what it takes?

I would suggest C4F if someone could take it over or CK either one equally share my vote.

Thank you for the vote of confidence, Obvious. I agree with you on Court, and I also believe massdee would be an excellent coice as well. I do hope, however. Michael, that you will hang in there with us a bit longer! The board is a great way for people to exchange information and share opinions (and frustrations!) on life in our city.

Thanks, Citizen. I agree with Obvious, either Citizen or Court would be an excellent choice. I also hope, Michael hangs around for a while, he has done a great job with this board. Michael, thank you for all you've done.

We agree, Michael, you have been an excellent administrator for the board. The Pup and I wish you well, hopefully, on your new home.

I would second any nomination for C4F, CK, or massdee. They have each demonstarted restraint, resolve, resourcefullness, intelligence and of course, humor, under somewhat trying circumstances.

The Pup and I thank all of you as well.

Good morning....Michael - what wonderful news. I hope it all works out for you. What town/city is the house located?

Regarding taking on the role of administrator - thank you, one and all, for your votes of confidence....but perhaps that could be shared amongst the three of us, much like the moderator role? That way, no one person is married to the site? I'm thinking of vacations, business trips and the like....and perhaps three sets of eyes are better than one?

I vote for the three. The "Triumvirate" of bloggers.

Fran, what a great word, although I don't consider myself part of a "Triumvirate."

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term triumvirate (a law)(from Latin, "of three men") is commonly used to describe a political regime dominated by three powerful individuals. The arrangement can be formal or informal, and though the three are usually equal on paper, in reality this is rarely the case. The term can also be used to describe a state with three different military leaders who all claim to be the sole leader of the state.

I am flattered guys, but I would rather remain a moderator. Starting the end of next week I will not be around as often, and will be tied up until about December. Of course, I will try to check in as often as possible. Thanks for everyone's kind words.

Well, as a result of the support I have heard for staying on thorugh at least the election cycle (from a number of people including the excellent moderators) I will stay on, likely through the end of the year. Once the election is over and things cool down a bit, we can re-evaluate the administration of this site and move forward from there. Until then, thanks for all of your support!

Michael
