| With the Mayors race, Senate race, New High School, Shooting last night, City being taken over by illegals, etc... etc... you decide to finally join in on the blog and use your great incite on a bar down the street. Come on Fancy you can do better than that. |

The former bar was nothing but a front for illegal activity. The same people are involved with this 'new" place. I am sure this will not turn out to be a good thing.

| As for meeting at "THAT" bar, NEVER. Never went in there before, and for sure will never go in there now. I am totally agreeing with Sally on this one, it was a front for illegal activities, some of the same people are involved, and then of course the "so called NEW" people, therefore, I too am sure this will turn out NOT to be a GOOD place. |

| Lynda - I think we're all aware that you have blinders on when it comes to friends of yours. Why else tell us "there are more important issues" when the establishment in question has a history behind it? It certainly must be a concern to people who live near by and have had to put up with the "history" of the bar. Can you at least acknowledge that there were arrests, reports in the press, etc. Personally, I think it's an issue. Past history is usually a good indicator of future performance. |

| Mr. Bowridge was very luck that he got away with his crimes so easy. As with everything else the Mayor and the law were too easy on him. To mention his name is opening a can of worms. He should not be made out to be so great cuz him and FFF stole from the taxpayers. It's people that PAY their taxes that should be outraged. |

As someone who really has no dog in this fight.I think I can offer a non bias opinion on this topic.The way I understand it was the money that was missing was not city money.It was not tax payers money he was rumored to have embezzled it was revenues collected from local business who bought advertising space on the rec walls...
The bottom line is this if he in fact stole these funds he should have been arrested and prosecuted to to full extent of the law and given the maximum sentence under the laws of the Commonwealth!!!!But the fact is they never charged him or brought this matter in front a grand jury.Which leads me to believe either the Commonwealth had absolutely no evidence he unbiased the funds.Or some one in the local Government squashed the whole thing to avoid a scandal!!!!!!!
If the latter is true there actions are worse then the theft it self!!!!Lets not forget these funds were stolen from the children of Everett.Also you have to wonder how this man was approved to have a liquor license if he in fact committed these crimes???
I know the license is included with the purchase of the bar"Grandfathered in".But a convicted felon or a person of questionable character can not purchase a bar or be approved for a license to sell liqouer....So what gives??A license to serve liquor is very hard to acquire.The question you should be asking is who approved this license and why.
One last comment and I will shut up.Someone made the remark "That it will return to a place were illegal activity takes place"I frequented McDonald's when it was owned by Mike M.You are totally out of line saying that!!The things that happened in that bar are the same things that go on in every bar in this country every Friday night including the fine watering wholes in Everett!!!!
The state police wasted countless tax payers dollars to stake out and raid that bar and came up with some Viagra pills and about 80 dollars worth of cocaine.That took a real bite out of crime didn't it.That whole thing was politics at its worse and the most outrages abuse of office I have seen!!!!!Thousands and thousands of our taxes were blown on a politically driven attack on a business that was on the up and up!!!!!
In closing I cant help be wonder what has happened to this great tight nit working class community I grow up in????It seems people are more concerned with being politically correct then addressing the problems that are ruining this city!!!!!!!!
