I have heard that the Board of Health has been called because of abestos removal going on at the Parlin School. Students have been told by teachers to go home and tell their parents because everyone is coughing and not feeling well. Should they be doing this while the building is occupied?

I would have to say a definite NO this should NOT be done when anyone without protective clothing/breathing equipment. Especially developing children. This needs to be checked into deeper ASAP. Any parent of a child of a Parlin student should be on the horn already! |

The Everett Board of Health and the Mass Board of Health have been notified, but according to someone that works at the school, the building inspector went in, spoke with Naumann, and left again... Freddy rules again... I hope the Mass BOH delves a little deeper, there was a sign that said Asbestos removal downstairs. |

There should be a Hazmat team removing the asbestos in protective gear and no one else! Someone needs to contact OSHA. |

My husband is a certified asbestos remover. He said that building should NOT be occupied during removal. Unbelievable what they get away with in this city!!!

I'm hoping this was reported to OSHA and they're not getting away with anything! The fines should be hefty and come out of Freddie's paycheck! |

Thanks for the OSHA info, but they are for the actual employees of a building, they referred me back to the mass dept of public health, which I have left a message for. |

Shouldn't the employees be concerned for themselves just as much as we are for the children? have them call OSHA and also go ahead and call the health department for the helpless children.
I know Jack
I contacted them now lets see if anything gets done. |

I contacted Channel 5 and they went to the school and did not observe any crews. They would like to speak to parents willing to go on camera. I guess the reason why they do not see crews is because they are school department employees doing the work.
here is her response if any of you would like to contact them.
"Thank you for the email. We checked out the school today and did not see any crews working. Did you see the crews today? Also would you be willing to speak to us about your concerns on camera?
Thanks again, Sheila Halloran" _________________________________

Has anyone called and talked to the principal of the Parlin, to find out what is exactly going on? There is no way they should be doing this kind of work during the school year. |

According to Mr. Nauman, nothing is going on, even though there was a sign downstairs that said "asbestos removal" when the workers were there. He's one of Freddy's boys, so you won't get anywhere. Some people will sell their soul to be a principal. |

And the school employees who end up with cancer from removing the asbestos can thank King Freddy. He is unbelievable!! He should run for Mayor.

I just heard that Dr. Stella and Mr. Obremski have admitted to the work going on and have asked teachers to lie if they are asked about it. Ask Freddy if he got throat cancer from being in the Hale School when they did asbestos work there years ago. |
