I heard something today that bothered me. One evening this week Mr McGonagle's car was parked in one of the city lots and was vandalized by having two tires punctured. Also in the same area that evening all Mr McGonagles signs were torn down. The police were called about the vandalism and it should be in this weeks police blotter.

I know neither Mr DeMaria or Mr McGonagle would tell their supporters to do such a thing. Their supporters should realize these kinds of actions reflect poorly on their candidate and should stop.

Those actions are uncalled for. Please remember this has been going around for quite some time. For a while it was DeMaria and Hanlon signs getting vandalized and knocked down. The Mayor put an article in all the papers for it to stop and had a meeting with Chief Mazzie on it. Property damage however, can be jail time and should be. I hope they catch who ever did it.

NO excuse for slicing tires but regarding signs I'd wish we go back to the gentleman's agreement of no lawn signs. It doesn't look good in my opinion and would take away the pettiness we hear year after year of whose tearing down whose signs.

I agree about the signs. I wish they would all stop putting them up. There is one house on Ferry Street, there must be six or seven different signs on it. It's such a mess and there are so many signs, you can't even read them. I also agree, no one should be vandalizing anyone's personal property.
