Here we go! They are saying six to ten inches of snow today and a "Nor-Easter" on Saturday night into Sunday. Let's hope they get out and keep our streets cleared and safe.
I made the mistake of trying to avoid Broadway by taking the back streets. I drove up the hill on the short end of Elm street and it took me 20 minutes of spinning my tires to make it up the hill. It was scary.
Does anyone know if there is a reason why the plows push the snow towards the legally parked cars? On my street, all the cars parked on the odd side of the street are plowed in. All the cars parked on the even side will be able to drive right out. It doesn't seem fair to those of us who make sure we move our cars to the right side.
For the village area the roads are not good at all. The plows came around twice all day and night. The problem in the area is no one abided by the parking bans. Police drove up and down saying there was a parking ban. The emergency lights were flashing but no one cared. There were not any tickets or tows so what’s the sense of having a parking ban. Some of the “perpetrators” could have squished their cars in their driveways but chose not to. So already this morning there are arguments outside. Oh joy.
I always love to see the top of Tileston down to the pavement while the bottom is a mess. When I see it, I immediately think........... Okay, we're good (city services) the he!! with the rest of you!
