It was admirable that the new Mayor wanted the parking lot cleared out . . . not only for employee safety, but for public safety and the fact that there was a Board of Aldermen meeting last night and perhaps he was trying to accommodate that reality as well.
It would have been nice if the employees could've gone out, moved their cars and come back in. Unfortunately, there was also a snow emergency in place, so there would not have been too many options for them for alternative parking.
Seems like this was a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. I applaud the effort, at least. And I agree that the plowing this time around was well well executed. Just the fact that they plowed back to the curbs on the main streets is a vast improvement over the performance of the previous administration.
We frequently have disagreements on this board . . . justme is as entitled to his feelings about Emile's commentary as Emile is entitled to make those comments. |
