I have a question, if a member asks for a roll call vote on an issue does the chair have to do it? There were two members asking for a roll call vote and they were both ignored. Does the Common Council go by Roberts or Demeters? I think I am going to research it.

Anthony Rossi is a cousin. It's a blood relative and *is* a conflict. All she had to do was keep quite and not be there to take orders from the Mayor either. *He* had to pump her to bring out the water on the rotary. They are using her and she's following along like a puppy dog. I'm starting to believe the things I hear about promised jobs. Just wait and see....

Yes, this certainly needs to be researched more. Other issues have no problem with a roll call vote. These people need to stop with the favoritism and start being there for the people and doing the right thing.

If no one runs in ward five......ward five residents should leave their ballots BLANK. Just like I do with Galluccio. As far as I am concerned, he has not done anything for this city but attend public ceremony's.

Thank goodness only three more meetings of her. They better pick someone that is fair. This whole year has been an eyesore to watch.

I don't get why Bruno wouldn't let them have a role call vote on the item if they wanted one; that always been a courtesy that's been extended to members in the past. It really didn't matter anyways. The mayor's office is going to continue to work on this item whether they get a resolution from the city council or not.

I also didn't get why these items were allowed to added under suspension tonight. Very few items have been allowed under suspension this year. A couple of these items (Wood Waste, Devens School) seemed just too much important be done this way. Hanlon used to get raked over the coals for doing this very thing. These items could have waited until the BOA meeting.

Two weeks ago Simonelli was denied putting the Wood Waste issue under suspension. Why were the officials from ward 1 allowed to do it this week? Things are really starting to stink at city hall, more than usual.

cackle cackle cackle

-The water department announces that the Mayors Office as well as the City Solicitor are working to resolve water issues that have gone on for decades.
-The Mayors Office announces that they are working on an enforcement order that will result in a strictly controlled plan to remove piles from Wood Waste sooner rather than later
-ECTV announces that they are weeks away from making meetings viewable via the city website

And all you talk about is whether or not a roll call vote was appropriate?

I'd rather hear you talk about what a fool Simonelli is for standing up in a public meeting and saying the city isn't doing enough to remove the piles and then a week later standing up in the same spot speaking out against removing the piles.

Cackle Cackle Cackle

Now you sound like part of the three ring circus called the common council, with Clowno DeMaria as the ring master.

Im still trying to process this thing with the containers. Im extremly disapointed in the way it was presented. It was a HA HA to Stephen Simonelli. It was telling him they have the numbers and can do what they want. No reason why Frank could not have brought this up first. The sneakiness of under suspension but Stephen couldnt do it.

I have no problem bringing something forward but we all know that is what the owner wants and has been the plan. If the state and the city could not bring him into compliance on boston st. what makes anyone think he will be in compliance on lower broadway? I dont care if there was 1 person at that meeting that was insulting to say nothing came out of it and it was a joke. Im happy about the meeting but people did not want to go up againts lawyers. I learned more from Newburyport about Woodwaste than people in Everett. The container plan was not mentioned at the meeting and Im against it. If he can fill containers then he can fill a truck and truck it out. People are saying we dont want this in the city. Woodwaste is here but dont give him more. He doesnt own the property on lower broadway and he cant bring that stuff there and people from lower broadway dont want it.

I caught the end part of the meeting but wasnt paying much attention. I will watch again. I noticed alot of coming down hard on Everett and Newburyport people but not the waste company. The talk of rumor and innuendos well from how I saw it he will move his waste down the line. Everything I have seen with my own eyes or read has been true. I think the container fantasy is a fantasy. Something will happen or he will end up owning the property and bye bye containers and we will have two dump sites. That lawyer Nylen will argue it's his right and he will be allowed to have certain amounts on the ground and before you know it we will have two dumps with chemicals blowing around the city.

Instead of making him compliant at the current site first we are going to scatter the crap everywhere. Give it time, his track record is proof.

The common council had better watch their step on when they speak. Some things were no done kosher from city hall and they will find themselves smack in the middle of a nasty lawsuit.

You cant pay attention. It's all theatrics, and where have they been all this time? If anything comes out of all this, I hope it gets the piles out of here. I just cant believe it had to revert to all this to get this man to do something.

There have only been a few of them to stand up for the residents. I applaud him for that and for having the tenacity to finally get the mayor to arrange for the public meeting last week.

FYI:

I did a little research and its Roberts and if ONE person calls for a roll call vote, that is required. Once again, the President of the Common Council conveniently made a mistake.
