Tails, you weren't the only one questioning that "turn of phrase." It's a legitimate question, and one that I hope has an appropriate response.
Good to see you again, Emile. You raise a good point about the ECD and the Chamber of Commerce; I hope either or both can assist the club. |

Many of us are questioning the statement however, the interpretation that taxpayer money will be used shouldn't be placed on Carlo's shoulders without the facts. We don't know what he said and until we do, we have to wait it out. |

justme - I think Tails raised a legitimate concern. The city's help is what it is - either money or resources, and it's taxpayer funded. I don't think Tails is casting aspersions on the new mayor, but simply raising a concern, based on the very public comments of a stakeholder in the club. I don't think there's a rush to judgement, but an airing out of a public comment. Let's hope the new mayor clarifies the situation shortly. |
