It is so disheartening that the Mayor is willing to let this happen. I am sure Newburyport officials thought that Mr Thibeault would be a good neighbor, obviously he didn't keep his word. Everett has the benefit of seeing first hand how this man runs his business. We also know what Newburyport has been going through. I can't understand how anyone would be willing to take this man's word, knowing what we know. All the money in the world could not make me make a decision that has the potential to effect our neighbors health and well being. I would never take that chance. |

Im afraid that down on lower Broadway is going to be a mess for a long time. When Boston's Dump is up and running there will be no developer that would go down there. I have looked and that area is going to be a dump with or without Mr T. Boston has already seen to that. What we need to do in my opinon is try and work with Mr. T and try to put iron clad laws to stop him for moving off of what was agreed to. Its said to say that lower Broadway is going to be a dump and Boston Started it, so lets try to contol it |

Are you saying because Boston is doing it, Everett should too? We then have to deal with twice the problem. Twice the chance of pollutants in the Mystic River. Twice the potential of health and environmental problems for Everett people. I don't care who started it, Everett needs to stop it. |

Thats my point. Its already here so lets try and control it. We have to make it so hard that no one will what to do it. Make new zoning laws and maybe is take the forfront and buy the land, that way we can contol what goes down there. I think that if we don't they will go to court and win. Thats what I ment by contoling it. Its coming so we might as well contol it. I sorry if I didn't say it right |

I don't understand. It is NOT already here. Thibeault still has many steps to go before he receives his permits. Everett needs to stop him. |

What I mean by its already here is Boston's Dump. What developer is going to invest down there now. Boston has all the piles down and is building the sides anytime. Its not just T-Bo that is messing up that area, we need to change the zoning laws some how. That is what I mean. |

If no developer will build down there then the mayor lied to us on that chamber chatter program when he gave us that nice list of development down there. Very sad. |

Boston's dump is the other side of the river. For me, I would prefer to have office condos and theaters and possibly a hotel. What happened to a hotel chain that contacted Thibeault about building a hotel on the site he wants to move his dump too? That came right from the mouth of the Mayor. None of these businesses would build right next door to a dump in fear of contamination and especially because of who we are dealing with. He already contaminated the waters at his current station in Everett and the MysticRiver PLUS in Newburyport's wetlands. I say.....lets "DUMP" Thibeault and get these other businesses here that can help the economy. |

Item #1 It will be interesting to hear what the BOA has to say about the sale of the Devens School.
Item #24 On Tuesday, GTA was down working on that rotary. I wonder if the state hired them. |

Item #1 - Will pass without a doubt. Question is how much debate will there be on it? Thought it was interesting that in today's Globe, the developer stated that work on the building can begin in two to three months even though he still had no plans to present at last Monday's meeting and the public is supposed to get involved during the approval process. Parking is going to be the biggest sticking point. Today's Globe stated that this supposed to be a 55+ development. I'm getting too close to that age and I know that I'm not anywhere near ready to give up my car.
Item #5 - Can't believe that this item has made it this far and still reads the way that it does.
Items #24, #25 & #28 - A request was made for the DCR to appear at this meeting. Let's see if that happens.
Item #27 - Will be interested to here what Smith's & Galluccio's positions are on this.
Item #29 - Wayne must have lost the number to City Services again.
Item #33 - Another one of those issues that keeps showing up from time to time. Let's hope that it gets some direction this time.
Would have liked to have seen some clarification on the city solicitor issue on the agenda. Don't know if this because the state ethics commission still has the issue or if it doesn't need to appear on the agenda because the appointment was approved at the last meeting.
I see that there is a joint convention scheduled for 5/19. I wonder if this is the presentation of the budget, item #12 on the calendar or something else. Anybody know?

Item #1 - Wow! It almost seems as if someone may be reading some of our concerns.
Item #13 - Even the better politicians don't do their homework sometimes. There was no reason to vote against this item if you had looked at it closely.
Items #24, #25 & #28 - Someone actually showed up! Let's see what happens in a month. I don't know what to say about the Mr. Brandano issue. Hard to comment on something like this when you've only heard one side of the story. Unfortunately, silence can only lead to speculation and assumptions.
Item #27 - Glad to hear that something may be happening on this in the near future.
Item #29 - Guess Wayne didn't lose the number for City Service; sounds like he did his homework, too! But nothing like getting that face time.
Item #33 - And on it goes. Let me get this straight. We can advance the school department Medicaid money before it comes in but they can't reimburse the city, at some point in time, for their share of re-sodding the field. Makes perfect sense to me.
Item #34 - RVC's not going to let go on this. Good for him! Wish we had gotten some more information on what happened yesterday but that's probably "black eye" material. The Easter flowers on the window sills of the chamber look pretty dead; guess that they didn't deliver any new ones this time.
Item #35 - A street/side walk re-do item under suspension? Jason, how did you sneak that one in?
Mr. Pedulla's back. Guess that kills that rumor. |

Thanks, Tetris.
Did someone address some of our concerns on item #1?
On the DCR and Mr Brandano, this I did see, we now know for sure it was the city, Mr Zaniboni, that asked for that rotary to be dismantled.
I am assuming item #34 is the Ferry Street flower stand. What happened? |
