Everett High is in a lockout. The kids have heard there was a raid on an apartment in the projects, and they locked down the school to be safe.

it was not a raid it was a homeinvasion where they are looking for a tall man with a gun he stole 500.00 from the woman and pointed a gun in her face.. Sounds like the Chelsea home invasion

"It's probably because there was an armed robber on foot trying to run from the Police. That suspect hasn't been caught yet and often times as a precaution the Principle will keep kids locked down in their classroom in case the suspect enters the building.
Let us know if you hear anything more. We're making calls.

BOSTON -- An Everett school was locked down on Tuesday morning after receiving a phone call threatening a shooting.

The Pope John XXIII High School received a phone threat on Monday night claiming that there was going to be a shooting at the school on Tuesday, Everett police said. The school, located at 888 Broadway, has 385 students, according to the school's Web site.

All of the Everett schools were notified of the threat, but only Pope John implemented a lockdown, police said.
