Mid-morning home invasion has left a 24-year-old woman shaken after she says an armed man slipped into her parents’ Everett home today and held a gun to her head just feet from her 2-year-old nephew.
“I was terrified,” said Michelle Nguyen, who was babysitting this morning when a masked man walked into the unlocked second-floor apartment.
She said she was using the computer at her parents’ apartment and didn’t even hear the intruder. In a matter of seconds, the man, who wore all black, demanded money and held a gun to her head, she said. She was so frightened she gave him the $500 cash she was going to put in the bank later that day.
“He just said, ‘I want the money,’ ” Nguyen, who lives in Malden, told the Herald.
She said her nephew knew something was wrong.
“He was scared. He was crying,” she said.
Everett police say they are “actively looking for somebody in the area,” but released no other information about the 10:30 a.m. incident. Nguyen said she was physically unharmed in the attack.
