I heard the same story as you, Arthur. I was told the victim passed away and that is why there was a vigil down there last night. |

HOMICIDE SUSPECT IN CUSTODY Everett Police working with the Massachusetts State Police and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office have arrested the suspect in a fatal stabbing that occurred in the early morning hours of June 12th. Dead is Elisha Fountain, 21, of Odenton, MD. Fountain died June 14th at Mass General Hospital as a result of injuries sustained during the stabbing at Store 24 on Chelsea Street. Everett Police arrested Shadrach Omad, 20, of Malden on June 12th as a result of a continuing investigation. Omad was located by Det. Michelet Montina of the Malden Police Department. Montina was returning to Malden from the Everett Police Department after having observed the surveillance video from the crime. Montina followed the suspect’s vehicle on Ferry Street in Everett and notified Everett Police who were able to stop the vehicle and place the suspect in custody in the Glendale Square area. Omad was arraigned on June 13th and charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon – Knife. The charges will be amended by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office due to the passing of Fountain. “Detective Montina is to be commended for his actions”, stated Chief Steven Mazzie of the Everett Police Department. “Montina’s attention to detail allowed us to rapidly identify and place Omad in custody.” ### |
