I wonder if watching it again a month later is still just as scary. I don't think this video really tells us anything since I am sure that if someone were so inclined, they could put together a similar string of images, connections, and spin to deter someone for voting for any candidate. We have to be aware that in the internet age, anyone with any agenda can put out anything they want. There is so much information out there, the scary thing, to me is the cacophony of rhetoric out there. How in the world am I supposed to know what information is an accurate portrayal of the candidate?
In particular, this video suggests Barack is lying about what he will really stand for as our President. Somehow he will overcome all of the checks and balances in our government with his secret agenda.
On the other hand, John McCain has a stated policy that is scary on its face. The country will run further to ruin, even if he telling the truth about what policies he will pursue.
I think it is important to see the stuff that is out there as knowing what spin people are trying to push is a good thing, making us all more informed citizens. However, responding to fear tactics will allow our minds to be hijacked by someone else's reasoning who may not share our interests. Trust documentaries, commercials and speeches that respect your intelligence to make your own judgements, which open doors to both sides of the issues. Don't let someone else make up your mind for you.
