Do I remember the mayor giving Mr Puleo an appointment to something? The name seems familiar to me.

I thought he was on the Cultural thing with Joanne Gregory or maybe the Housing Authority. Anyone know anything about him?

I was looking around on the net and found this. I thought I remembered his name.
REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN, MONDAY, JUNE 9, 2008, 7:00 PM, PETER J. MCCARREN MEMORIAL CHAMBERS, EVERETT, MA
COMMUNICATIONS FROM HIS HONOR THE MAYOR
1. A0216-08 Order/s/Alderman Robert J. Van Campen, as President Subject to confirmation by the Honorable City Council, I hereby appoint Mr. Dominic Puleo to serve on the Everett Housing Authority for a term of five (5) years until March 2013.
CONFIRMED, SENT DOWN FOR CONCURRENCE

Domenic Puleo has received two appointments from the DeMaria administration. He was appointed to the Everett Housing Authority board until March 2013 (Approved by BOA - 06/09/2008, CC - 06/16/2008). He was also appointed to the Everett Cultural Council until September 2010 (Approved by BOA - 03/23/2009).
I believe that the Housing Authority position receives a salary but I don't know what the amount maybe. I'm also assuming that it's a better paying position than alderman since Mike Mangan has stated that he won't take the alderman's salary if elected because he also holds a Housing Authority seat as well. |

Did Mayor DeMaria also appoint Mike Mangan? There seems to be a pattern here.

Yup. Mangan's appointment was approveed by the BOA on 05/27/2008 and the CC on 06/02/2008. His term also expires in March 2013.

Did either Mangan or Puleo replace Joe King on the Housing Authority? Do I remember King was made to resign or some kind of controversy about Joe King leaving the Authority? It's very vague, but I remember something went on. It could have even been when Hanlon was Mayor.

Am I getting this correct, there are two people running for the Board of Alderman that Mayor DeMaria has given appointments to for the Everett Housing Authority? It would seem like the mayor is trying to stack the deck in his favor.

Mangan is running against Simonelli and Puleo is running against McGonagle right? Weren't Simonelli and McGoanagle against Wood Waste? It makes one wonder what is coming down the road.

The Joe King controversy happened in the first year of Mayor Hanlon's term as mayor (2006). Can't recall the outcome.

I thought it was a while back. The talk about the Housing Authority sparked a memory.

Lower Broadway is what's coming down the road, and that will be the biggest mistake this city has ever seen. All we will see is a 32 acre DUMP. Don't forget, he lost the Nuzzo vote when Hal Abrams didn't work out, since they "neglected" to do any background check on him. That was just dumb. So, Nuzzo was not the first choice for that job. Now this woman from Somerville is getting the Rec Center position? What if Hal Abrams did work out, Nuzzo would get nothing. It's all a joke and Nuzzo is another one that did not step down for six months.

I thought Thibeault and Wood Waste were staying where they are and putting up an enclosed structure.
