Can this even be done with a public employee?

If he did sign a confidentiality agreement, that means a deal was made or he was given something.
I heard the same exact thing happened in Somerville.

Here is a fact rosa diflorio is working at eastern salt in chelsea, went there yesterday to order salt for my business and guess who was sitting there, another job from clowno or maybe thiebault
justme it's not a rumor he ran over the tools cause he is such a great driver, I also heard that is job is temporary cause that is what zanboni wants there is a language barrier with him
Actually, I was referring to Rosa's employment as Raneiri's replacement..........
I'm glad to hear she's working somewhere other than the city and frankly, I don't care how she got the job. As long as she's not on the city payroll, I'm happy. |

Really? When did this take place? Here we go again. Will the mayor need to hire another Assistant City Solicitor? What happens to all the issues Melissa has been dealing with in the law department? We all know she can't do both solicitor and Chief of Staff. The ethics commission would not allow Erin Deveney to do that. How many CoS has the mayor had now? Is it three?

I hear you, here we go again.
There certainly is not a good track record with hiring COS’s.
This is just my opinion but I think this is another mistake. She was making in the 40’s not even a year ago. She just became a lawyer and Erin could not be both. I’m sorry, but Erin Deveney was the Registry’s general counsel for the state. There is no comparison to the qualifications and experience that Erin had.
Who is going to collect all those code enforcement fines in court that she’s been so “actively” pursuing? Did we ever get an answer as to how much money has been collected? All I’ve heard is “we work hard” “we actively peruse” ………….show it in dollars and cents and with proof.
Jill Barringer is the Procurement Agent/ Assistant City Solicitor. Was there ever an ethics ruling on that? We know Erin couldn’t do it so Melissa will not be doing it.
Will that mean another position will be opening up for an attorney or just keep hiring outside lawyers?
I also heard a Personnel Director was hired. That's great, but the dollars are adding up. The rumor is...........he's from Somerville, go figure.

Yo Tails, heard the same thing. Can you freakin believe it? That chick is a mess. She comes on this blog and the other blogs and admits she's who she is and then goes bonkers. I think she's got a real personal psycho problem! How can CarLOST think he's going to benefit by having psycholissa be his 'out front person'.
Here we go... Round One... Ding Ding....DINGBAT!!!!!!!!!!!
It will certainly be comic relief if nothing else. |

I have heard an unconfirmed outrageous salary for the new Chief of Staff. What I am hearing is $93K. Does anyone know if this is true? I certainly hope not!

I believe you are right. I don't think Melissa has the experience or the maturity that Erin had and I always felt Erin was over paid. What do you think?

You're right, Deb.
Erin was definitely overpaid, but she was also over qualified for the job. I always thought the high salary was his way of trying to keep her because he needed her and she couldn't have been happy as his gopher and mouthpiece. I figured she must have been nuts sometimes standing in the council chambers lying though her teeth trying to make him look good.
Melissa is probably a better choice as his chief of staff (not as overqualified) but there's no way she should be making 93k. And let's face it, regardless of what you want to call it, this should be a secretarial/administrative position. Carlo needs it to be more than that but that's because he needs someone with enough intelligence to steer him in the right direction. (then he doesn't listen to them anyway) |

| A talking bird was sitting in the park today and says former police officer Michael Vetrano is meeting with the mayor and got his old job back next year . Sounds like Newburyport was not what it was chalked up to be. Deal to pay back the money for the Incentive but someone should invite Stephen Mazzie to these meetings Im sure he’d like to know. |
