Yes, Al Bergonzi has been back for a while. Favors Favors Favors.......

I heard today that the mayor wants to get a floating-rate bond for 10 Million dollars to do Beecham Street over and the rumor is that Bond Brothers will get the contract. Bond Brothers is the company doing the stadium also.

Also………….I heard Thibeault has now done four walkthrough’s at the Old High School.

From Topix:

outrageous

Everett, MA

The city may have foreclosed on Ray Johnson, but we never owned that land for liability issues. That road was all oil refinery's and the land is CONTAMINATED. Anyone defending this needs their heads examined or has a financial interest in this sham!

All he is doing is taking care of his construction friends and Wood Waste of Boston. Thibeault has done FOUR walkthrough's at the High School. Heaven help those neighbors of ward 5!

Part of that road is Chelsea and part is also STATE OWNED. Haven't we done enough for the state with that Casa Demaria rotary?

With any bonds...the first payment is interest on the entire bond. We are looking at 2 million in interest, or more. That will be added on to the budget next year. That's why he wants a "floating" bond because a floating bond the interest rate is adjustable. That way there.....Larry DeCoste can spin his sh*t and say "he doesnt know the numbers" or "it's hard to say"

This is a BIG MISTAKE in this economy that is so fragile right now.

If Chapter 90 money is not used then you must vote NO. I don't want to hear "they are researching" or "applying"

Get the money FIRST then do the work!

This is an atrocity!

I hope everyone pays close attention to the vote on Monday night. Anyone voting to add this debt to the taxpayers on top of the budget, should be voted out of office the next time around.

I heard a rumor that the mayor has had his pool installed even before he went in front of the board to get permission. Is that true?

What would happen to the rest of us if we installed a pool without the proper permit?

Anyone hear anything about our State Senate taking up an issue to bypass something in the Everett Charter today?

I am just curious if it is true or not. I hope what I have been told is completely wrong!

Just Wondering, do you happen to know anything?

I thought there was something in the local papers last week about our charter review. I don't remember the details

What I was referring to had nothing to do with the Charter review. It has to do with who will be the acting mayor while Mayor DeMaria is recovering.

Sorry....my knowledge of that particular topic would not fill a thimble

Were we all done debating the bond issue? I was hoping you would poke some holes in my arguments.
I do like your stance of 'I just don't trust him'. It eliminates the need to recognize the burden associated with making difficult choices.

I was hoping someone knows who our acting mayor will be while the mayor is recovering. I understand our Charter calls for the President of the BOA to be the acting mayor. The rumor I am and have been hearing is that the mayor is trying to go through the state to bypass our charter and to name someone different.
