I understand that if Wayne wins he is taking Janice Vetrano with him, lets see fff is behind wayne and paying for his articles, janice is writing is articles, I am sticking with STAT, I feel more comfortable with the devil I know to the devil I don't.( no implication just a figure of speech) If Wayne gets in I feel the city of everett will not be represented as well as it is now. |

Is it my imagination or is Stat coming up short on the campaigning? It seems like Wayne is everywhere and I'm not seeing much from Stat. |

It has appeared to me that Stat is taking Wayne rather lightly so far. On the other hand, all that Wayne has given us so far is high visibity. That might be enough though since the election is likely to be a popularity contest. I know that it sounds obvious but whoever is best able to get their voters out on election day will win the seat. |

Stat is campaigning evenings and weekends. He is going door to door meeting people. He has a business to run and a family to support. What does Wayne(and also his sidekick) do? |

That's my concern................ Wayne is so much more visible than Stat.
Elections in this city are a lot like running for class president. It's all about who you know, who you're related to, and how well liked you are.
Wayne consistently tops the ticket so we know he can pull in the votes. Stat isn't (in my opinion) as good at getting votes as Wayne so I'd like to see a bit more from him. |

I see Wayne people everyday, especially in the mornings. One morning they really got on my nerves because they had the corner of Main and Tileston at a standstill. It was a total overkill. I wanted to yell out the window "for cryin out loud, some people have to go to work" so I understand that Stat Smith and company have jobs to go to. But as the election grows near, Stat should be out on full force all weekend until the election.
One thing I have to say about Stat is he came from the projects. It is a known statistic that people from poor and lower income families follow that trend. Stat Smith has proven that if you work hard, you can be anything in life. He came from the projects but his four children are all college grads or in college. That says a lot about a person so when people need aid or state aid, he truly can relate and helps out. |

I can relate to the Tileston & Main issue.......... I stopped and gave him hell a couple of weeks ago because his people were in the street at Broadway & Chelsea. That light is short (from Chelsea St) and there's always a lot of traffic so having his people screw it up by getting in the way of the traffic made it worse.
He said he didn't realize they were in the way and he's go move them, but I didn't go back to see if he actually did anything. However, I've seen them since at that same location and they still like to stand in the street.
I'm be tempted to get a little close but it's not worth it....... I'd pronbably end up scratching my car which would really tick me off! |
