I've been reading this blog for quite a while. I have watched this banter relative to Wood Waste go back and forth. It is so obvious to me that the newspapers have been paid off and that certain politicians have changed their votes on the issue and have received very handsome "considerations" (jobs for girls' sons, jobs for themselves, etc.) Why are we putting up with this blatent disregard and disrespect for our city? Our city appears up for sale and I believe its the most blatent example of corruption I've ever witnessed. Conflicts of interest, jobs for votes, personal interest before the peoples interest......... when will we ever learn?

Welcome Cruller. It's always nice to have new posters.

Maybe, it's time for people to stop being so complacent and let our elected officials know how we feel about the different issues, by emailing, calling and writing them letters.

Thanks so much Massdee. Truly appreciate the welcome. I've watched and read from afar for months now; I think you are right on the money. If WE don't do something, I fear we'll go the way of Chelsea.

I think the vote yesterday in the House of Rep. to reject the bailout bill, was the politicians that were up for re-election listening to their constituents. Since Everett will soon be going into an election year, maybe we can put pressure on our elected officials to vote for the residents and NOT for political favors.

From your lips to God's ears!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes a major cause transcends party lines and emotionally charged groups. I believe this is one of those causes. What WoodWaste and its owner potentially does to this city is criminal. We have an opportunity to build ourselves 'upward', to build a formidable base to make us tax strong and what does this administration want to do...... they want to sell us down the river. Personal pockets are getting full instead of the city's tax coffers. Shame Shame!!!!! I recall a few years ago when Thibeau came on the horizon; he vowed he'd own Everett..... a few deliberately placed dollars later and he almost does.

You are sooooo right Massdee, yesterday's vote showed that some politicians do listen to their constituents. When will the group we have there do the same. Jobs for family members, jobs for themselves, the financing of campaigns; the almighty dollar is winning over right here in our city.
