I hear today was Jim Henderson’s last day. I also hear that Mark Miller is billing the city of Everett $300.00 an hour and is still negotiating contracts. I hear he was good when he worked for the city and was only making $40,000.00. What happened to all the in-house lawyers???

Someone explain how Mayor Carlo DeMaria appointed this man Scott Martinelli and how someone like this can be trusted? Who asked Mayor Carlo for this favor and stick him with Brian Zaniboni? Brian must be a low guy in the circle.

I don't believe he was appointed. I think he was hired down at City Services. |

"Gone are the days," he said, "when the city employees are hired because of their acquaintances instead of their qualifications." |

How are we paying him? His job was eliminated from the budget. I just don't get it! |

Is this the position that Billy Hart holds or is it something else?

I'm guessing that it is the job that Linda Martin took over after Mr. Keverian passed. After she was promoted, the salary for the assistant assessor position was eliminated in the last budget. I'd doubt it would be Billy Hart's position; the Chairman of the Board of Assessors is an appointed position and therefore would unlikely be advertised for. |

Thanks, Tetris. I was confused and couldn't figure out what was happening here. So, do you know if Linda Martin is leaving or has she already?

No clue what's going on. Lots of possibilities. Don't even want to speculate. |
