| I haven’t been on the main roads but the side streets are not that good. I was talking to people too that said the odd/even was not enforced on the side streets even though it was a snow emergency. I think they should focus more on enforcement for snow emergencies like they do for street sweeping week after week. Also...whoever plowed my street just went right up the middle and plowed. Last year I thought they did a good job becasue the plow driver got close to one side and came around and did the other. Not this time, maybe it was a different company. |

| We haven't had a plow on my street since last night. Every car that comes up is getting stuck. |

| plowing really s--- this weekend guess that what happens when you don't have GTA Equipment, laugh all you want but, last year was a better year, you can even cross the streets at the crosswalks, and what is up with some of these businesses in the square that have not shovel out the sidewalks? where is code enforcement. round two this morning, we will see what happens. |

| I'm not sure who did the plowing; the bids for the new equipment were only scheduled to be opened last week. |

| The side streets are a mess. I had to go out Saturday afternoon, Broadway and Ferry were good but getting there was treacherous. I am sure it is even worse today, since we had low temps last night and more snow coming. Did they hire Jerry Sheehan back as head of City Services? Just Kidding! |

| I think GTA was doing some of the plowing. I saw them while out and about yesterday, and also a sander truck that was parked. |

| I was earlier and the side streets are still awful. I know that it's not an easy task but again, if we have all that enforcement week after week for street sweeping, why cant we do that for snow emergencies? You have to tackle every ward. There needs to be some kind of plan in place with the police department to obey this odd/even parking or make some of these two ways one....I'm no expert but I think I can come with something better than this. |

| The streets in Everett are a mess. We only had a plow go down our street once since Friday night. What happened? I thought Mr Zanaboni would be on top of the plowing. This plowing is just as bad, if not worse, than previous years. |

| Where are the salters and sanders? The roads are a sheet of ice right now and I never saw either one. The power lines on my street are hanging very low. |

| It would be nice since we live in New England, with harsh weather, that eventually we have some type of wireless energy transmission and get rid of the power lines although, I'm sure that's many years out. |

The roads are a mess this morning and I saw more trucks with their plows up than down. When I got to work, I called the mayor's office and spoke with a very rude woman. She told me it was the peak of the storm and they were doing the best they could. I told her the previous storms had been much better and they were falling short this time around........... She didn't want to hear it and was very obvious about it.
I thought he had people in his office with customer service skills? Obviously, I thought wrong! |

Oh my gosh, I had the same problem with the streets. Plows are driving all over the place, all contractors, with the plows up. I don't get it. From 7:00AM to 10:00AM those plows should be out there in full force, during the height of commuting hours. I don't care where we are at the storm, that's important to keep up with it. I've never seen so many people out there, stuck. I got stuck myself a couple of times.
A woman in the mayor's office...............that's interesting.

Side streets are a horror. Many need to be properly plowed and those that don't need a plow need sand and/or salt.
I realize the cost of snow removal is vey high but this is also a safety issue. Current conditions give more weight to VanCampen's idea of one sided parking from November to April! |

Side streets are a horror, I know. If they enforce the towing for street sweeping the way they did last year come this April, then someone does not have their priorities straight. This is a public safety issue. The side streets were very dangerous this morning. Cars could not get up and down streets and people were walking in the middle of the street. I could not believe how bad it is. There is no enforcement on this at all and this is exactly where it should be.
Do we know who the rude woman was in the Mayor's office? I thought the only woman that worked there was Erin, and she's gone. I hope it's not another constituents service person. I think we have enough of those, and to have one start at 7:00AM is a waste of money. |
