BOSTON -- An off-duty police officer arrested a man Wednesday after he allegedly tried to rob an Everett bank.

The incident took place late Wednesday morning at the Everett Co-Op Bank at 419 Broadway in Everett.

Bank officials said the man passed a teller a note demanding money. An off-duty police officer arrested the man after the incident.

The man may be the same person who robbed the bank last week, bank officials said.
