Anthony Ranieri was referred to by Howie Carr as "The Pig".

This was a column in the Boston Herald a few years ago.

Howie called it right.

And Ranieri is also a dope, an idiot and a dumbass. And probably gay.

Ahhhh.....the people vote him in every time....

As I've said before....This does say a lot about the voters....

The Pup is appalled by my comments...

C'est la vie......

Best Buy's choice of a location will be a nightmare for the already clogged and poorly designed Gateway Circle. It's nice to know that Ranieri was intrumental in approving the location. Idiot.

The Pup and I now shop out of the City just because of the traffic congestion.

A shame.....

Emile - welcome back, my friend. I was wondering where you were. :)

Michael - do you have any supporting evidence for what you've posted? Otherwise, I hope the administrator removes it. While I am not a big fan of either man, you've posted something that could be considered criminal behavior, and libelous if you don't have the evidence. Please post it.

We have to keep in mind that this kind of comment could never be used in court. It is a rather empty charge (being without any evidence and coming from an anonymous poster) and is simply mudslinging in my view. I have a much looser definition of libel for public officials, as they are not immune to having to having to answer questions of this nature.
michael has a right to his opinion but it is quite right to challenge him when he makes baseless claims. He wouldn't be the first on this board to do so, that's for sure.

Court my friend, we have missed you as well.

We have been in France dealing with this Dan Brown issue...

I will have some comments on this immigration issue in a few days.

Thank you for your concern, my friend,

I'm glad that you've successfully wrapped up the Dan Brown saga.

Emile - I did hear that Joanne Graziosi got a job at city hall. I understand it was a world-wide search. How many new hires have taken place since the "hiring freeze" that Mr. Hanlon ran on went into effect?

There is no hiring freeze. That was just a campaign promise designed to get him elected. You really didn't think he'd stick to it, did you? Is Marchese really making 90K a year?

Ragucci ran his office with 3 part time receptionists (with no benefits) and 2 full time staff members - Hanlon couldn't keep his campaign promise for 30 days - he has more staff than people can keep track of:

Jack Doyle, Mayor's Driver (new position for his campaign workers)
Valerie Fulchini - Exec. Secretary
Joanne Grassiosi - Exec. Secretary (new position because she couldn't handle the position offered as Secretary to School Building position)
Jim Marchant - Ambassador (another new position)
The Colasanti's (the husband quit then the wife stepped in)
Ann LoConte - receptionist
Agnes Foye - - receptionist
David Ravanesi - hides in the Budget Office when in from FLA (new postion)
Colleen Leo - Exec. Manager (she's a story in herself)

So much for a hiring freeze Mr. Mayor!

As I said before, Michael has been annoited to stand in for the Mayor on important meetings when the Mayor needs a nap.

No kidding....

No joke.....

Don't forget Mr. Colasanti works for Code Enforcement now, part time...

of course...Mr. and Mrs. Colasanti are nice people....

they both come to work together and leave together...

how romantic...

It may sound cold and harsh, but at least it's the truth....

You're right, Emile. It's been done and it hasn't worked. So, who would you like see run for mayor next?

Former Mayor David Ragucci WILL NOT be running for the Senate. Also, he has lost too much time and ground in a hotly contested Rep race so, I think that’s out too. There are rumblings of Ragucci making a run for his former office. As we all know Ragucci lost, unfortunately, and this new Mayor isn’t doing his job. Want to know how I know? He hasn’t pissed off one group in the entire city. Sure, one or two people here or there are mad about something that he said or did, but there are no groups, like the Crock to Save Glendale Park (And yes I know what I typed) that the former Mayor had to deal with. I think Johnny Boy has been to kind and has tried to please everybody; he should get ready for one big political explosion that’s going to blow up in his face.
