Tetris, are you talking about the "Gone are the days" quote? As we all know, the "Days" never went away.

Well, I had to wait until today's paper to get an answer to this question. Seems that Carreiro was redistricted to Ward 5.

But, wait a second. The redistricting took place before the last election. And as I said above, even under the old charter, ward school committee members are supposed to live in their ward. So how was he allowed to be elected the Ward 6 seat? And if Colarusso hadn't moved out of the city and hadn't been forced to vacate his seat, would we even be aware of this issue?

I can't say I thought much of the job she did as our City Solicitor & it's past time she was replaced but........ here we go with the ethics issues again!! I can't wait to see how much Carlo is going to pay him. Seems like every new hire receives significantly more than the person they replace!!

I know Rodrigues worked in State Ethics and obviously still has his contacts there, but may if enough resident/voters from Everett contact them to complain that the corner office just ignoring the law and doing whatever they want, maybe something will have to be done. If more than 20 people call and nothing is done, then you know there is a fix and maybe the AG needs to be contacted.

Being escorted out by the police was a little over the top. I was not a Colleen fan AT ALL but I see a big time law suit. She's a lawyer for goodness sakes! Already in the works that Rodrigues (who by the way is looking at houses outside Everett) will become the new city solicitor.

Corrupt corrupt corrupt the whole damn bunch of them!

I guess nobody is safe. They all better be watching their backs...maybe they better start keeping a record of things they see and hear. At some point, I can see things blowing up.

You take your eyes off the boards for a couple of hours and all hell breaks loose.

I've been hearing so many different and conflicting rumors all day long, that it's really hard to tell what's true and what's not.

From my posts, you can probably tell that I haven't been the biggest fan of Mrs. Mejia as city solicitor. However, what I will say for her is that she was always a "good soldier" for the administration. If all of this is true, it's a hell of a way to pay her back for that. And if she was escorted out of city hall, it was probably to prevent her from leaving with anything that they didn't want her to take with her.

No. Someone I know thought it was her but ended up not being her. So much had happened that day and didn't have time to really check it out. Sorry.
