That's way too close and needs a recount. I don't trust this city and certainly do not trust the state to do their jobs. They were here for show and even though the number of absentee ballots were smaller than "usual" there are still some questionable actions that may have taken place in yesterdays election. It just does not sit well with me.
I was just reading over on Topix. A poster wrote that there were 287 absentee ballots in the primary, 62 of those came from the other four candidates combined and 225 absentee ballots came from Wayne. Can this be true?

Yes!
What else does Wayne have to do but go around the city making sure those people who can't get out have an absentee ballot? He doesn't have a job, does he?
What I am hearing is the Absentees put Wayne over the top. If my numbers are correct, just over 2400 voters voted for someone other than Wayne. It looks like the unofficial total vote count was 3668 with Wayne receiving 1258 and John Hanlon receiving 1209, Rosa 747 and Dennis 401 and 53 write ins for others.
I was a tough vote. I really didn't like any of the choices. It didn't sit well to find myself voting for the person I thought was the best of the worst..........
