| Talk about irony. Fred has to fire an indicted and guilty felon...if he does, then he casts the dye for how he would be handled should the gods smile and he is found guilty. it would be no surprise that they want to save her - since he would want the same for his sorry self. |

There is something treacherous going on with the school committee.
We all know that.
But right now with the Defeo issue...something's not right.
We will wait for a while until we notify the state ethics committee

| Sally - the school committee went into executive session...came out and did not vote. Appears to be a smoke screen. We now have a convicted felon in the school department, and no one is doing anything about it. |

| Well . . . not to beat a dead horse . . . but I don't think this is something the School Committee would vote on, and since we don't know what they decided in Executive Session, we really don't know what her status is. I wonder if there is any way to find out. I've asked a couple of people who I thought might know, but they didn't have any insight. Maybe it's time for someone to drop a dime to the Boston Herald and see if they've done any follow up on the story. The only thing they had was one small paragraph last week after she plead out. |

Well, we all know that Fred is going to try his hardest to not fire Lorna. I think I heard that he has a court appearance tomorrow, he must be trying to get his ducks in a row, so to speak..
What would the School committee do without him? No one on the committee knows how to operate the curtain controls that the wizard stood behind and the smoke and mirror effects are just too complicated for them to figure out..LOL

Well I just sent off emails to every news desk in Boston. I am not sitting back any longer and letting Freddy make the calls. She is convicted she should go , end of story. I refuse to let my tax dollars pay for her salary or her pension. The School Committee has no balls therefore we need to speak up as citizens and taxpayers and say we are not going to accept her staying. Did anyone read the Independent this morning? They quote Freddy as saying she will probably stay on as Maintenance Director!!! Not on my dime. People we need to take a stand.

Thanks for that info, Sally. I haven't seen the paper as yet. I was wondering how they would cover it. Do they have any "editorial comment" on it? Josh Resnick, despite his denials, is closely allied with Fred, so he's not going to rock that boat. So much for "Independent" journalism.
Kudos to you, Sally, for stepping up and getting the news out. Let's see if any of the news outlets do anything with it. |

Actually it seems that Mr. Resnek has changed his tune. The editirial mentions how the judge seemed to feel sorry for Mrs. DeFeo and mentioned that he hoped this did not ruin her holidays. Mr. Resnek wrote that " He does not want to see her suffer needlessly, however realizing she will avoid prison should be gift enough during these holidays. Allowing he to keep her job just doesn't make any sense now." I happen to agree with him on this one

Well . . . that's interesting. Maybe Resnick has found an antidote for the Koolaid . . . he's usually a big Freddy Koolaid drinker. Maybe there's hope yet.

| Friends - it may take a petition drive to draw attention to this. Fred is counting on it being Christmas and people forgetting all about it. Lisbeth is right; it is Fred's obligation to fire Ms. DeFeo...but he won't want to do that while facing trial himself. Why put another witness on the stand if you can shut her up with a job with a good check attached to it? So, the pressure has to come from the citizens of this city. I hope they care enough to force the issue. |

I am all for the petition drive. What can we do to start it? I am done with Freddy and the people who let him rule this city.

You can be anonymous! If enough of us contact the news they will have to do something. Just say you do not want your name used. I sent off emails to channels 4, 5 and 7 and the Globe and Herald. Enough is enough people if we do not stand up nothing will be done. We learned that when they let Freddy and Lorna stay on under indictment. PLEASE contact everyone you can think of. I you are worried about them getting your email address give them a cal anonymously.
