Does anyone know when it will be on tv as rerun?
or will ECTV edit that part out?

I believe they rerun the meetings at 8:00 p.m. every night until the next meeting. And they can't tamper with a public record, which is what the tape is. Of course, that never stopped the Superintendent from editing School Committee meeting tapes . . . and as we know, that "influence" has spread to City Hall.
So . . . Hanlon's been in office for a month, and already his fuse is that short? Doesn't bode well, does it . . . |

You have a new mayor. He's what the people wanted. Careful what you wish for. |

I don't think so H1 maybe Hanlon is older but wiser. I want to give this administration six months then I want to see where the city goes and it what direction. That is when a new mayor is going to make it or break it. And so far, I don't like what I am reading out here or seeing with my own eyes.
This city is Dirty and I can't wait to see how we handle a snow storm this weekend if we get it. |

Lisa - I am all for giving this new administration a chance, but trying to (illegally) take out two guys off of the Everett Housing Authority, whose terms don't end until 2008 and 2009, because they voted against Fred Foresteire's son in a sexual harrassment case is just wrong. You get get a copy of the report at the EHA. Two arbitrators voted against him, and the document is a public document. |

Only four months to go and counting.....we have no choice but to wait.
It's amazing that the Mayor threw Jordan under the train the other night. If he feels that strongly about Jordan why did he keep him on? It was a viscious attack.
Doesn't make sense.
And, of couse, the advocate and independent did the same just to gain favor with the new administration. Advertising revenue, you know...

Emile - they're all in the tank, every one of these newspapers. Did any of them actually ask for a copy of said contract? The answer would be no. They're all armchair journalists, preferring to write from a cozy chair rather than actually getting up off of their collective arses and doing some digging.
Lisa - this discussion about the EHA hasn't been posted. It's all over the place though. And I read the report. Very disturbing. If there was any question about the Fred connection to Mr. Hanlon - it's been answered. |

If the newspapers had gotten the contract, would they have any clue what it meant? The mayor's own crack financial team screwed it up, which they discovered at a meeting the next day. The auditor and the new budget director completely misconstrued what was in the contract and gave Hanlon a bogus briefing on the subject . . . which Hanlon then took and used to unjustly eviscerate the previous administration. Too bad Hanlon wasn't man enough to call the papers with that update -- but he bows to the will of people like Don Andrew and Domenic D'Angelo, who have nothing but malice toward the previous administration for perceived wrongs, and they're letting it influence their advice to the new mayor in a very bad way. It's a disgrace, and I hope Hanlon catches on to it before he looks like an even bigger ass than he already does.
Emile . . . you seemed to be pretty well informed; what do you know about any new appointments for the Board of Assessors? I've heard a couple of things -- I was wondering if you have any info on that subject. |
