HUMAN SERVICES:

Adding to its list of numerous successful programs, the Office of Human Services is happy to report that they have signed a new three year contract with SCM Transportation in order to supply Everett’s senior residents with low cost rides to and from grocery shopping and/or medical appointments. Rides to locations outside of Everett are provided at the low cost of $5, while rides inside of Everett will cost a mere $2. The City is pleased to offer this service for its senior population, particularly at this time of year when the weather can be oppressive. Trips to hospitals and medical facilities in Boston and outings to grocery stores can be made easily and affordably. To utilize this service call SCM Transportation at 617-625-1191 and reference Everett Human Services. Residents must be 60 years or older to qualify.

Although this is a good program for seniors, I would confirm that all drivers from this company have been CORI checked.
